Been going to Moro for more than ten years. It’s Moorish/Levantine cuisine at its best. Excellent service and friendly waiters.

Critically acclaimed Moro offers award-winning Moorish cuisine, rooted in Spanish and North African influences. Winner of The Observer’s Best Restaurant Award in 2009, Moro opened in 1997, featuring an understated dining room and rustic yet elegant Moorish fare.

Try the Moorish-influenced dishes in the lively open plan dining room at Moro Exmouth Market or sample exquisite tapas at the long zinc bar. The vibrant open kitchen features an authentic wood burning oven and a charcoal grill.

Menus at Moro London change on a daily basis and sample dishes include the cuttlefish with broad beans, ink and mint or seared pigeon breast and piquillo pepper with garlic purée. Sumptuous desserts include rosewater ice cream and chocolate apricot tart. Passionate about fine sherry, Moro has an extensive list, and all varieties are available by the glass.

At the hub of lively Exmouth Market, Moro in Clerkenwell epitomises fine Moorish dining with an eclectic blend of Mediterranean and African influences. Owners Sam and Sam Clark were named well-deserved winners at 2012’s London Restaurant Festival Awards.

We came for lunch on a saturday before going to Sadlers Wells. Guests arrived early whilst you were still setting up but treated well just the same. We enjoyed a lovely fish lunch, with excellent guidance on food and wine. Relaxed, friendly , yet buzzy without being noisy.
    Wonderful food.

Relaxed but professional atmosphere. Menu at lunchtime was amazing, we could have chosen anything. All dishes were wonderful, exrememely skillfully cooked and with superb flavours. Fresh ingredients. Couldn't fault anything at all about the food. Very slightly on the expensive side, but considering quality and location, not more than to be expected. Will definitely return and recommend.

Everything was perfect. The wine was expensive but excellent, I had pork belly as a main which very good and the raisin and ice cream for dessert. Service was polite and efficient.

There were four of us and we visited just before going to Sadler's Wells. Thinking we had arrived too early, at 5:15 pm, we were accommodated and waited at our table till the restraunt opened at 5:30pm. Service was prompt. We enjoyed starters and mains and a few glasses of wine. We liked all the food, it was tasty and quite rustic, and the portions appropriate for a hungry group. I thought the chestnut and chorizo soup memorable in a good way. My wife and my son's partner both enjoyed the sea bream. The atmosphere is very relaxed and we really liked the experience.

We , a group of four seniors, have been coming to Moro for an annual event near Christmas for the past six years, It will be our last visit. We found the service poor and the food indifferent and cold.
We all think you are losing it or have lost it.
