Another excellent evening at Moor Hall. From the moment we arrived until we left, the service was attentive. The food was wonderful and we were especially impressed by the alternative menu provided for one of the party. Everything was an explosion of flavours with some lovely surprises. The matching wines complemented the dishes perfectly, as well as introducing us to wines we would otherwise not try.

It is a wonderful venue and, as diners, we felt at the centre of things, with a great view of the kitchen, but without being overlooked by other tables. We also enjoyed the opportunity to wander around the garden on a warm summer's evening where they grow some of the produce

Needless to say, we look forward to returning!

An absolute delight! I fell in love with the interior and the ambiance, the team and most importantly the food!

The food is amazing and served beautifully. The wine list caters for all tastes and the sommeliers are great at recommending the perfect wine for your chosen dishes and in line with your preferences.

Mark Birchall brings dining to a new level and I'm looking forward to being a guest again!

Delicious dining experience in expuisite setting. Favourite dishes were the carrots and turbot. Whilst not a huge fan of the English Pinot noir, was glad I tried it. We got invited into the kitchen at the end of the meal which was a bonus - ice cream sandwich a huge hit! It was particularly quiet in the bar and it lacked some background music. There were no mocktails on the drinks menu however a good selection of soft drinks. Would highly recommend the restaurant and hope to return next time in UK.

Overall, the experience was very good. We were greeted warmly and took drinks in the garden whilst our table was prepared. The menu was superb and we were lucky in that every dish was one that we would have chosen had we put it together ourselves. Mark really is a very talented chef whose depth of flavour and flavour combinations were an absolute delight. Each dish was meticulously worked out and balanced to perfection. The only slightly negative aspect to the evening was at the end when we went through to the study for coffee and none was offered - we had to ask for it ourselves to one of the passing staff. A minor point but it did leave us feeling slightly neglected at the end of a hitherto wonderful experience.

We were made to feel very welcome. Staff were friendly and attentive but unobtrusive. Each course of the lunch menu was like a work of art and delicious. Amazing flavours made this meal truly memorable!

We visited Moor Hall for our daughter's 16th birthday, and it certainly lived up to expectations. We had the tasting menu, and the food was superb - my family laugh at me for still raving about the sheer beauty of the eel in a little basket, covered with tiny flowers - pure art! The staff were friendly and professional - this was our daughter's first visit to a Michelin star restaurant, and she loved the 'performance' as well as the amazing food itself. At the end of the meal we had a tour of the cheese room and the kitchen, as well as a special extra birthday dessert for our daughter.

Unfortunately when the bill arrived we had been charged for someone else's drinks as well as our own, which meant we were overcharged by £45. The mistake was put right, and the barman did apologise, however I felt that not much was made of the error. I would have thought that for a significant overcharge of £45 we would have had at least an apology from a manager, and perhaps a compensatory reduction in our bill. However, the overall experience was excellent, and it wouldn't put us off going again.
