Moc had the best pho I've had in a long time. Veggie broth was scrumptious as was the iced matcha tea. Healthy, fresh and vibrant food! The service was friendly and efficient too.

Described in Time Out as bringing ‘vim and verve’ to the Charing Cross railway arches, Moc Kitchen is tucked away besides the bustle of Villiers Street. Packed with traditional ingredients and healing herbs, the Vietnamese menu is served in a casual setting.

Specialising in Vietnamese canteen-style dishes, the Moc Kitchen menu features favourites like pho and spring rolls, as well as lesser-known delicacies like lemongrass beef rolled in wild betel leaves, or lotus stem salad. With everything prepared from scratch each day, the focus is on fresh, healthy food.

Kickstart a meal with a unique cocktail inspired by the herbs and spices of Vietnam, before choosing from the carefully selected wine list. With white walls and traditional artwork adorning the walls, Moc Kitchen London is a light and laidback dining destination.

Moc Kitchen Charing Cross sits a short stroll from Charing Cross and Embankment stations. Trafalgar Square and the river are also close by.

An all-round brilliant, intimate, entirely pleasant experience. Not many people in when we went, which is a pity because this small gem under the railway arches of Charing Cross deserves to thrive and do well; so get out there and try it! The staff were open, attentive and welcoming, ready, able and willing to explain the items on the menu. The house cocktail was astonishingly fresh, and creative. And the food, divine. It's a small place, an oasis of calm and welcome right in the heart of the busy city.

This place is hugely popular with pre-theatre diners, there being theatres and shows along the Strand nearby. As there aren't a huge amount of Vietnamese restaurants in Charing Cross, I was pleased to see this new one pop up, however don't go expecting completely authentic fare. The papaya salad was full of sweet chilli sauce and not your usual hot and sour dressing. The sizzling monkfish dish and duck rolls were pretty good though and it's all very reasonable.
