Excellent service, could have been warned chicken main course was rather large but otherwise first class

Unfortunately this was not the best experience we have had for afternoon tea! We (myself and 3 friends) have been to numerous places for afternoon tea and this has been the worst so far. The afternoon tea itself was overpriced for what it was - the bread felt stale, the sweets were package bought and not fresh, the scones were nice however. We were given cold drinks and had to order food from the restaurant menu as we were unsatisfied with the afternoon tea. We were given one drink each with the afternoon tea but had to buy any more that we wanted. Finally it was he car parking price that was shocking!!! We were there for 2 hr 40mins and were charged £15 each car for parking (£60 in total!!)
Not worth booking, there are so many places that offer a far better afternoon tea if you look around! -

The overall experience was ok as we would consider dinning again. The food was brought out hot and between the chef, the waitresses and the restaurant manager, they added a little extra to make the evening a special 7th Anniversay. Well done to the waitresses, the service was faultless.

The most disappointing factor was that this the price was £30 per afternoon tea, not £25 as advertised on the page that I booked from. I was also not aware of a £10 parking fee before arriving. Overall this added £20 to the expected cost as there were 4 people dining.
The quality of food was satisfactory and a generous Costa drink was included.
The service was mixed. The staff in the restaurant were okay. I didn't feel that the friendliness was genuine, and at times they could have been more helpful. For example, we waited 10 minutes for the card machine to load up to pay, but they didn't communicate this until we raised the issue despite standing a few metres away. A member of reception staff was very unhelpful.
Overall, this trip was to celebrate an occasion so we enjoyed it as best we could, but there was no 'wow' factor and I definitely wouldn't return or recommend to a friend. -

I don't normally take to leaving feedback, but because you have asked I thought I would share. I booked the Mother's day afternoon tea with Hilton believing it would impress the wife and would be done to an impressive standard, especially considering the cost is a lot more than others are asking.
The experience felt very unspecial, this is through no fault of the staff, they were all very pleasant and helpful. It was the fact it felt like we could have been in any restaurant order from the usual menu on a normal weekend. There was no effort to suggest it was a Mother's day afternoon tea. Some flowers or daffodils in a vase, a pretty tablecloth maybe, just some simple touches would have said something. The only thing I could assume that made this deserve the use of Mother's day in its title was a glass of champagne, which I ended up having to ask for and was then told it was only for Mum and I would have to pay for mine.
After the meal, we continued our visit by having some drinks in the bar whilst enjoying the surroundings. When leaving I made another assumption that our car parking ticket would be validated for either free exit or at least a reduced rate but I was shocked to learn that after spending good money and a few hours at the Hilton I had to pay £10 for the privilege. I believe or hope the parking tariffs are high so it discourages NEC visitors using it, but didn't for one minute think Hilton would charge their visitors!
So I can only conclude from my experience that I had the wrong expectations and/or my family and I are the wrong kind of client for the Hilton. -

Excellent food selection. Great service. Attentive staff. Loved the sunflower seeds in pots that were given to the Mums. Great idea, excellent touch.

It was a really nice location and value for money although the price is soon to go up to £30 which I would question the value. Service was good. Parking was expensive.

Took advantage of the 'Millers' Restaurant/Car Park deal - Hilton Metropolitan - Genting Arena, both the food and service were excellent throughout - would highly recommend.
