Between the South Downs and the sea Miller & Carter – Lancing serves succulent cuts of meat, carefully sourced from sustainable British farms. With exposed red-brick walls, leather banquettes & chocolate-brown wall panelling, the steakhouse enjoys a welcoming, informal atmosphere.
The Miller & Carter menu is led by hand-cut, 30-day aged steaks, all carefully sourced from sustainable British & Irish farms, and expertly cooked. Favourite cuts span from a deliciously tender grain-fed sirloin, aged for 50 days for a rich, buttery flavour, to a luxurious sharing chateaubriand. Other Miller & Carter signature dishes include smoky barbecue ribs with seasoned fries & dressed slaw, and lemon & rosemary lamb rump served with dauphinoise potatoes, sautéed exotic mushrooms & tenderstem broccoli.
To finish, sweet indulgences include Miller’s chocolate orange: a shimmering golden globe with ganache and orange toffee. The Miller & Carter cellar is brimming with drinks designed to complement the menu, including chilled draught and bottled beers, crafted cocktails and an impressive wine list of rich reds and sparkling wines.
Miller & Carter in Lancing is a 4-minute drive from Lancing Train Station.

We like the new lay out seemed more airy. I booked a table for myself husband and elderly relative on Sunday 9th July at 12.30. We always take her there because she really likes it and it is special treat as she does not go out much.
The new layout is better because it does n not involve stairs. The staff were very attentive. The meal was very nice as always. my husband had steak I had salmon and my cousin had lamb which I asked to be cut up which they did. It was presented very nicely I had sweet potato chips as extra
MY husband and I had a sweet sticky toffee pudding I had banoffee pie( glad that is back on the menu although the cheese cake is nice. but I made the mistake of not saying ice cream because I had cream added My cousin could not manage a sweet but had a coffee and she said it was lovely.
Our waitress was charming ( she said she had been working there for 15 years)
We try to come down every couple of months. We look forward to our next visit.

We have dined at this restaurant for some years now and the service and food just gets better and better. We were served by Megan and I wanted to give her a special mention because no matter how busy it is she was always attentive with a great smile.

To be honest food could have been better - coleslaw/salad was brown and dry - this was pointed out to waitress. Service was very slow.
One of the starters was supposed to have been cooked in a sauce - sauce did not appear to be present!

Disappointed this time, it's the first time we've been since the refurbishment and we thought it looked really nice now and was a much bigger change than previous refurbishments. However we were sat initially right in front of the pass which was hot & bright (we had asked for a quiet corner) then after 20 minutes of waiting just to get our drinks order taken we also moved tables. My steak was very fatty (I know chefs say fat is flavor) but I don't like fat I cut it off eat the meat. The waitress we did end up with was very nice.
