A beautiful traditional stone pub, Miller & Carter has been given a modern makeover to create a laid-back steakhouse that specialises in wholesome British flavours, served alongside an accomplished wine list, craft beers, colourful cocktails and premium bubbles.

The Miller & Carter menu is led by hand-cut, 30-day aged steaks, all carefully sourced from sustainable British & Irish farms, and expertly cooked. Favourite cuts span from a deliciously tender grain-fed sirloin, aged for 50 days for a rich, buttery flavour, to a luxurious sharing chateaubriand. Other Miller & Carter signature dishes include smoky barbecue ribs with seasoned fries & dressed slaw, and lemon & rosemary lamb rump served with dauphinoise potatoes, sautéed exotic mushrooms & tenderstem broccoli.

To finish, sweet indulgences include Miller’s chocolate orange: a shimmering golden globe with ganache and orange toffee. The cellar at Miller & Carter in Kidlington is brimming with drinks designed to complement the menu, including chilled draught and bottled beers, crafted cocktails and an impressive wine list of rich reds and sparkling wines.

Serving gourmet British recipes for the whole family, Miller & Carter Kidlington is a 4-minute drive from Oxford Parkway Rail Station.

We had a lovely family lunch, including a 3 yr old who was well catered for. Food was brought out in a reasonable time and everyone agreed it was tasty. It was my birthday, and, after being asked by my son, they found a candle and put it in an icecream, they even lit it for us. I will definitely be going back, maybe when the 3 yr old is a bit older though.

Fantastic dinner to celebrate Father’s Day early.
They were friendly, the manager couldn’t do enough to help great as we had a young child with us.
When a drink order was forgotten they didn’t quibble and gave the drink free.
We have been a few times in large group and as a family and wouldn’t hesitate to go again. We had such a nice day ??

    Excellent evening

I booked via the online website. I was surprised to see that every quarter hour booking slot was available even though the time was already 12:30PM when I went online. We chose 1:30PM.
Upon arrival we found the restaurant almost empty.
I'd asked for a table near the front door as I have walking difficulties and cannot manage steps easily. On previous visits I've always been accommodated with this request. Today however we were taken further into the restaurant to a sectioned off area already occupied by a large party of diners and another table of four. I had to get down one step to access this area.
It appeared that they were keeping all of the diners together for the benefit of, the seemingly, sole waitress,
She seemed to be working alone; at least at the beginning of our meal although we did see two other waitresses appear later; service was slow. My Daughter wasn't hungry so she just ordered two starters.
We both had baked cheddar mushrooms. Her extra starter was sticky chilli-hoisin chicken wings served with Buttermilk Ranch Dressing. They were particularly nice.
I asked for a full rack of ribs as my main course but they'd run out of that item. I was also informed that their coffee machine was broken so there would be no hot drinks after the meal. Last time we visited this establishment the coffee machine was also out of commission.
Instead of the ribs I chose Tandoori marinated lamb rump served with dauphinoise potatoes, parsnip puree, glazed roasted roots, tender-stem broccoli and rich Bordelaise sauce. I was pleasantly surprised and would have it again.
    Daughter had Banoffee Pie.
With soft drinks the total bill came to £48.10p.
We were pleased with the quality of the food but disappointed by slow service, having to negotiate steps further into the restaurant when tables were vacant nearer the entrance. Also running out of ribs in a steakhouse is remiss and a coffee machine which always seems to be broken is doubly frustrating.

Really enjoyed the meal steak was perfect.
Had we not been given a voucher/ gift card we would not go as very expensive.
    3 courses and 4 drinks over £100
This is a nice venue and food was exceptional but a one off due to the price.
