Restaurant description
Just next to the Jane Austen Centre and a stone’s throw from the river, Miller & Carter – Bath is an informal steakhouse serving juicy cuts of beef from sustainable British farms, so every forkful can be traced back to the field. With cushioned red seats, soft lighting and an exposed brick wall, the restaurant boasts a modern design and a welcoming atmosphere.
The Miller & Carter menu is led by hand-cut, 30-day aged steaks, all carefully sourced from sustainable British & Irish farms, and expertly cooked. Favourite cuts span from a deliciously tender grass-fed Ribeye, aged for 50 days for a rich, buttery flavour, to a luxurious sharing chateaubriand. Other Miller & Carter signature dishes include smoky barbecue ribs with seasoned fries & dressed slaw, and a pork fillet wrapped in bacon with apple 3 ways served with dauphinoise potato, green beans and roasted Mediterranean-style vegetables.
To finish, sweet indulgences include chocolate hazelnut bomb, an indulgent, rich chocolate ganache encased in toasted hazelnuts and chocolate nibs, served with pecan praline ice cream and zesty orange curd. The Miller & Carter cellar is brimming with drinks designed to complement the menu, including chilled draught and bottled beers, crafted cocktails and an impressive wine list of rich reds and sparkling wines.
Miller & Carter – Bath is a 12-minute drive from Bath Spa Rail Station.

Disappointing experience , We arrived earlier than our reservation so we're happy to be shone to the bar area to wait. We were attracted to the summer cocktail specials and as we were there to celebrate my daughters graduation we chose the Pimms cocktail, When I asked the bar maid she said " oh I'm new,I don't know how to do that" .......then proceeded to serve another gentleman his order of beer! 45 minutes later we received our drinks and were shone to our table. Our steaks duly arrived then the waiter took another 3 to 4 minutes to bring steak knifes, then another 5 minutes to bring the salad! We asked for the sharing platter of desserts and three coffees at 16.45 and requested them promptly as we had to leave by 17.15 to catch the train home, well we had to request the bill at 17.10 and ask for the price of the coffees to be removed from it as we couldn't wait any longer.

The staff were very efficient but the lunch was spoilt slightly by the fact that some items were not available. We booked because of an offer on Book a table website thinking it was a special offer when in fact it is available every day in the restaurant.

Great food good service. The only thing was , twice a waiter walked passed our table and dropped food onto two of our party..apology was given and some serviette to wipe off the sauce, but we weren't offered a discount, vouchers or offer of reimbursement of clothes cleaning charge..
