Welcoming atmosphere in traditional pub, friendly helpful service and above all great food, beautifully cooked and presented- best in South Hams- no crunchy beans.
Loved the coffee sauce with the Choc. mousse cake. A very Big Thank you to all involved- especially John.

Featured in The Good Food Guide and named as one of the top 50 gastropubs in the UK, Millbrook Inn Devon is a 16th-century village pub serving French-inspired European cuisine. The emphasis is truly on local produce, with fresh fish a speciality.

The Millbrook Inn menu features creative interpretations of traditional flavours. To start, try layered goats’ cheese mousse with beetroot pickle, cucumber ribbons and a ginger and chili dressing, or the lavish plate of lardons, pig trotter patties, smoked duck breast and poached quail egg. Mains include leg of roe deer with celeriac mousseline, wild mushrooms and red wine jus, and pearl barley risotto with seasonal vegetables and parmesan. Amongst the flavoursome desserts are cardamom pancetta with mango sorbet, and dark chocolate fondant.

Popular as both a pub and a restaurant, Millbrook Inn South Pool serves local ales and world wines from its cosy bar. The pub also hosts regular live music nights.

In the heart of the beautiful Devon countryside, Millbrook Inn South Devon is a 30-minute drive from Dartmouth.

A long time favourite which has changed ownership and chef over the years. I'm pleased to say the pub is looking great with very friendly staff and the owner taking care of front of house. The winter menu is limited to three choices per course plus whatever is available on the "butchers block" by way of steaks and meat cuts. I like a narrow menu as it should guarantee each dish is perfectly executed, which they were. The balance of flavours with the curried cod was perfect along with a sublime Jus (lightly flavoured with lemon and sage I think?) to accompany the Port Tenderloin. The burger is a proper pink patty and perfectly cooked. Desert was an excellent creme brulee. Overall a lovely evening and we look forward to many high tide summer visits (pub is at the end of the estuary) relaxing in the sunny garden.

Fantastic evening had by my wife and I celebrating my birthday. Service and food were both exceptional. We were lucky enough to have bagged the last Chateaux Brianne which was cooked to perfection and we thoroughly enjoyed. The wine list is extensive and supports the menu extremely well. Staff are well informed and attentive, it always feels a real treat to visit. Five out of five starts from us

Our first time at The Millbrook. The result was a wonderful meal from a brilliant chef. The best we have had for some years. Staff were very friendly and helpful. A great place to celebrate an important birthday .

Sunday Lunch - booked for 2-15 table not available till 3pm . Roast dinner hardly warm when it came but it was knocked off the bill.
Tuesday evening - perfect evening, fairly quiet, good food and ambience
Thursday Lunchtime tried the famous Crab Sandwich £12-50 , served in inch thick White bread which looked like the end of a loaf, wish I had taken a picture . Had to cut all the crusts off to get to the Crab which was not very plentiful. Maybe they were running out of Bread and Crab but certainly not worth half the money.
Friday evening , booked for the early bird dinner we enjoyed on Tuesday, the food was excellent but there was a large table of about 12 people next to us including the Landlord and 5 children. The noise was so bad that even sitting opposite each other on a table for two we couldn’t enjoy a conversation so we left early
