Very slow service even though it was mentioned that one of the diners was time limited

My wife and I and two friends had a lovely tea at the Millbank Lounge. The food was delicious and presented well. The tea was great. Our waiter and other wait staff were polite and extremely attentive. We had just flown in from Venice and it was a nice way to begin our brief stay in London.

It was a lovely experience. The Millbank Lounge is cosy and comfortable and the staff bend over backwards to keep you happy. The food was delicious as was the champagne. I'm looking for another reason to go back there!

A very enjoyable afternoon was spent having afternoon tea with my sister's at this hotel. The lounge style is modern without being obtrusive and large windows look out onto what will one day be another stylish London building but at this present time is just a building site. This did not spoil our experience in any way, we didn't get together to admire the scenery. The staff were very helpful. I had been unaware of all the paperwork I should have taken but the staff sorted this out. Afternoon tea consists of finger sandwiches, a selection of cakes and scones with jam and cream. Served with a choice of tea or coffee. Altogether a really relaxing, enjoyable way to spend an afternoon.
