As always lunch was excellent. The house manager always recognises us and comes over to have a chat. Excellent value for money and a first class atmosphere.

Absolute culinary delights !! The scallops and black pudding were perfect......the cod on crayfish risotto with a bisque was spectacular !! My wife stuck to the Express menu which she loved and is fantastic value for money!! We will be back very soon. I imagine Mr Neave may have a Michelin star by then ?

Exceptional meal here . Relaxing bar area with good choice of drinks - wide range of whisky as you might expect , good choice of gins. We had 3 courses - each one delicious , my main of venison was particularly good, great combination of flavours . Beautiful soufflé ( sticky toffee ) . Great service & ambience .

As good as ever! Our friend had never been before and, on arrival, disclosed a butter and cream allergy. This was dealt with efficiently and pleasantly - even providing olive oil/balsamic vinegar with the bread!

The food and the service were, as always, of the highest standard. Also, excellent value for money for the express lunch menu. However, as there was a table of over a dozen people nearby we found it very difficult to conduct a conversation until the table had vacated. Perhaps you might consider limiting the number of people at any one table? The noise tends to spoil the relaxing atmosphere which is part of the Michael Neave experience.
