Excellent quality meal at a very reasonable price with friendly service. Small issue with one dessert slightly over cooked was swiftly resolved.

Very enjoyable lunch. Good service. Restaurant quite noisy on this occasion.

Unfortunately, there was only one other table for two dining that evening, so felt a bit soulless. Could not fault the meal. As the restaurant was so quiet, we expected to be served fairly quickly, but we actually waited a very long time for our starters, about 30 mins. Staff were very friendly and efficient, just puzzled about the wait for our first course.

Excellent restaurant with lovely staff. The food was beautiful as always, especially the sticky toffee souffle. Definitely worth searching out

The food was excellent and lived up to the expectation. I would suggest that the prices are good given venue and location and this is a must for a treat or special occasion. There is limited seating so it is never going to be 'too busy' that you cannot hear your table's conversation, there is also a nice recess which looks like it could accommodate 12 for some private dining.

Fixed price lunch - a sensibly restricted choice of interesting dishes. Everything met or exceeded expectations. Excellent value.

Tired from walking about all day, my husband and I, and a friend, stopped in ahead of our reservation time for excellent cocktails. The staff were accommodating to our two changes in earlier and earlier dining times. The restaurant is not large - making one feel special and well attended to - and it was beautifully "done up". The large salmon ravioli starter (split 3 ways) was wonderful, as were our dinners of halibut and mussel risotto, venison saddle in bacon with carrot puree, and lamb rump with potatoes and greens. Having not had enough, we then split desserts: apple tart, chocolate mousse, and my new favorite dessert - sticky toffee soufflé. The very best dinner on a 16-day trip around Scotland (and we had some excellent dinners). It is unfortunate that I am now over 3,000 miles away.
