A big hit with the Guardian, Menier Chocolate Factory showcases gourmet European dishes in a ‘seductively cool and atmospheric’ setting. Housed in a converted former factory, this theatre-cum-restaurant and bar maintains its edgy industrial vibe.

From casual daytime snacks through to refined chef’s recipes, the Menier menu offers a diverse selection. Alongside sumptuous sharing platters piled high with fresh, natural produce, Menier restaurant favourites include chicken supreme with polenta chips & roasted peppers, or the hand-pressed signature burger with all the trimmings.

Paying tribute to its cocoa-based origins, decadent chocolate desserts at Menier include the famous chocolate platter, or gooey brownie with rich chocolate sauce. An accomplished wine list and chilled international beers complement the award-winning food at Menier in London.

One of London’s most eclectic and arty restaurants, Menier features on-trend reclaimed décor, including timber beams, bare brickwork and exposed pipes. London Bridge stations are a 6-minute walk away.

We always eat here when coming for a show and have always been pleased both with the food and service from all staff. On this occasion however I was disappointed on two counts. The attitude of the lady who greeted us on arrival left much to be desired - she was cold and aloof and was audibly displeased when we asked for a different table to the one she tried to foist us off with - cold and draught near the entrance door. There was a much better located table further in to the restaurant which she 'supposed' we could have. Our waitress - a Polish lady - was a marked contrast. She was friendly, attentive and polite and nothing seemed too much trouble. Unfortunately the starter I ordered was forgotten -- rather than send the main courses back to keep warm while I had my starter we decided to just have the mains. Our waitress could not apologise enough and we were offered free sweets in recompense. Other than those gripes we were very pleased with our meal - my wife's steak and my lamb shank were excellent although I would have liked a little more cocannon with the meat. Overall, apart from the initial meet and greet, a good experience. The experience rating below would have been higher if our greeting had been more pleasant.

Whilst the service was good and the food (where appropriate) was hot, somehow it lacked particularly the lokshen pudding which was a rather sweet stodge. 2 of the party had the stuffed cabbage and found it somewhat flavourless although my stroganoff was tasty and plentiful. The egg and onion was good and the challah fresh. Perhaps the a la carte menu would have been a better choice. However, it was very convenient being able walk out of the theatre straight to our table. Not sure whether I would eat there again but wouldn't say you shouldn't eat there.

Really good food; the set menu is always changing and follows the theme of the production. Service is great.

We had a theatre booking here and the restaurant has always looked nice. Menu was varied and reasonably priced. The staff were delightful and effective.
The food was presented well and tasted delicious. Not the greatest wine list but this was a most enjoyable meal.
    We would certainly use again
