Brilliant restaurant, excellent food, pleasant staff and very reasonably priced and in a central location too! Couldn’t fault it. Their dishes are interesting, full of flavour and perfectly executed. Would highly recommend.

One of Soho's most sought-after destinations, Mele e Pere blends Italian gastronomy and an on-trend setting. Retro Anglepoise wall lamps and an apothecary-style bar lend an old-school vibe, and the dining room features quirky retro design throughout.

Heading the kitchen, Andrea Mantovani offers a playful mix of classic and modern trattoria dishes. A daily-changing selection ensures optimum freshness, with Mele e Pere menu favourites including braised rabbit with polenta, or gnocchi with mussels and clams. Eclectic artisanal sharing plates are also offered at Mele e Pere in London.

Perfectly in tune with the edginess and vibrancy of Soho, basement bar dwellers can sample Mele e Pere restaurant’s homemade vermouth for a traditional Italian tipple. A lengthy list of Italian wines complements the rustic, natural flavours.

Translating as ‘apples and pears’, Mele e Pere in Soho brings a quirky yet refined eatery to one of London’s liveliest areas. Piccadilly Circus Tube Station is a 4-minute walk away.

It was a warm evening so we sat upstairs by a window but downstairs looked very nice too. We had the 3 course set menu with prosecco which is very good value at £20 but the main course of cod was tiny compared to the beef ragu which my husband had. I accept cod is more expensive than pasta but I did feel a bit hard done by (and hungry). The vermouth menu is exceptional.

Had to ask 3 times for balsamic vinegar with our starter. Had a bottle of Chianti which was very average and found the menu selection quite short

Excellent service and food. We come for the great food, but last time poor service, which put us off from coming more often. This time though, I see an improvement in the curstomer service which was a reflief for us. Will come more often. The bistecca is a dream!!!.

Great deal menu, fantastic food and a good variety of dishes on the menu, didn’t feel too restricted or as if we were being offered a cheap alternative to the a la carte. Also 5-7 happy hour on spritz/vermouth which was an added bonus. Service was effective but not the warmest/most engaging however that’s the only negative of the evening. Highly recommended for an inexpensive, delicious restaurant.
