Doesn't look much from the outside ( especially with scaffolding up currently) but lovely room downstairs. Service and food were great and will definitely go back

One of Soho's most sought-after destinations, Mele e Pere blends Italian gastronomy and an on-trend setting. Retro Anglepoise wall lamps and an apothecary-style bar lend an old-school vibe, and the dining room features quirky retro design throughout.

Heading the kitchen, Andrea Mantovani offers a playful mix of classic and modern trattoria dishes. A daily-changing selection ensures optimum freshness, with Mele e Pere menu favourites including braised rabbit with polenta, or gnocchi with mussels and clams. Eclectic artisanal sharing plates are also offered at Mele e Pere in London.

Perfectly in tune with the edginess and vibrancy of Soho, basement bar dwellers can sample Mele e Pere restaurant’s homemade vermouth for a traditional Italian tipple. A lengthy list of Italian wines complements the rustic, natural flavours.

Translating as ‘apples and pears’, Mele e Pere in Soho brings a quirky yet refined eatery to one of London’s liveliest areas. Piccadilly Circus Tube Station is a 4-minute walk away.

Very interesting and tasty meal. Seafood dishes were delicious as was the porchetta appetizer. The desserts were lovely. Berries and basil ice cream was superb. Service was phenomenal.

Great food with strong flavours and well presented.

The starters and cocktails were excellent and the wine was very reasonably priced. But all fell apart with the mains; they brought out the wrong pasta so we had to eat at different times and then when we complained they didn’t do anything about it. The truffle pasta was dry and overpriced but the restaurant had a nice atmosphere

Completely exceeded expectations - booked last minute as it was a good deal (3 courses and prosecco for £20) and got really delicious food which wasn't just cheap pizza/pasta, and great service, with no pressure to leave quickly or hassling every 10 minutes for drinks (my pet peeve). Wouldn't hesitate to return again, even without the deal.

Enjoyed the meal, service was quick for a pre theatre meal.

Food was mediocre - the fried calamari were nice, but pasta was overcooked and greasy. Friendly service. The restaurant is nicely decorated, but rather noisy.

Brilliant deal at a really nice restaurant. Food was lovely (I had the burrata followed by the braised calamari and then tiramisu). I brought my family who were visiting for the weekend. I'll definitely be back! The service was great and the location FANTASTIC for a walk around central London. Thanks.
