Delicious food with onderful flavours. Three courses for £20 was excellent value. Favourite dish was the tiramisu. Restaurant decor was eye catching too.

One of Soho's most sought-after destinations, Mele e Pere blends Italian gastronomy and an on-trend setting. Retro Anglepoise wall lamps and an apothecary-style bar lend an old-school vibe, and the dining room features quirky retro design throughout.

Heading the kitchen, Andrea Mantovani offers a playful mix of classic and modern trattoria dishes. A daily-changing selection ensures optimum freshness, with Mele e Pere menu favourites including braised rabbit with polenta, or gnocchi with mussels and clams. Eclectic artisanal sharing plates are also offered at Mele e Pere in London.

Perfectly in tune with the edginess and vibrancy of Soho, basement bar dwellers can sample Mele e Pere restaurant’s homemade vermouth for a traditional Italian tipple. A lengthy list of Italian wines complements the rustic, natural flavours.

Translating as ‘apples and pears’, Mele e Pere in Soho brings a quirky yet refined eatery to one of London’s liveliest areas. Piccadilly Circus Tube Station is a 4-minute walk away.

Good service and good value on the £20 deal.

I went with my wife for lunch before Christmas shopping. We had the set price menu of £20 for three courses and a glass of prosecco; this is very good value anyway but given the high quality of the food it is exceptional value. The venison with polenta was outstandingly good. Many of the wines are sold by the 50ml carafe which is a perfect amount for us at lunch. I should also mention the waiting staff and in particular our waitress who, once the ice had been broken, was very sweet.

We loved it! We had booked a table and had a friendly reception attentive and pleasant service. Great food. So glad to be somewhere that was well organised. Good standard of food and great service. An all round winner. We were going to theatre afterwards and delighted to find a tasty and good value pre theatre menu and service was timely

Great food, great deal! and great attentive service. Nice atmosphere down in the basement where most of the diners are seated.

Very tasty and relaxed atmosphere. Waitress let us wait for our friend who was running a bit late despite it being Saturday night! Nice prosecutor on tap too.

Tasty food which was good value. We had the star deal, a set menu which although a little limited had something for everyone. The staff were very polite and attentive and ensured we enjoyed all three courses with time to spare in an hour;well in time before going on to a play.

We elected to sit downstairs and were very surprised at the size of the area. Everything was clean and the atmosphere very inviting, The menu although not extensive is varied. We both elected for the same starter of a bed of radicchio with warm goat cheese, slow roasted caramelised squash, pine nuts and pomegranate - a good size and absolutely delicious. We couldn't decide on mains so waitress suggested we share so brought us the venison haunch and sea bream as well as 2 separate plates to serve ourselves and not have to swap plates, We both plumped for the tiramisu - again a large portion. homemade and delicious. All this accompanied by a lovely glass of Prosecco. The service was excellent with very friendly, attentive but not intrusive, staff. The whole meal was exceedingly good value and we will definitely be going again.

Lovely food, lovely service, convivial atmosphere. I ate here on a special deal which was great value, but working just around the corner I've had lunch there a few times as well, always eating the small plates, which are all delicious. I will definitely keep going.

Great Italian food and a bit more interesting and creative than the standard Italian menu. Nice ambience and friendly staff. We were there early evening pre theatre and my only complaint was the service when we first got there. They weren’t busy but were setting up for the evening. They took a long time to offer drinks and take our order and seemed more preoccupied with setting up.
