    Nice friendly welcome and great bar staff. Nice to see Matt at the pass. To many places are just fronts without the chef! Great atmosphere and the food was awesome. Venison shoulder little pie was electric!

    Really enjoyable dining experience and ambience. Service was measured which ensured we didn’t feel rushed. The food was excellent. My only complaint was the service staff were incredibly frantic rushing round, moving chairs etc which at times was a little off putting.

    What a meal! Having been to the Foundry pre Matt Healy, i was firstly excited to see how it had changed with the make over, and then get on to the important stuff of the new menu. The restaurant looks great, and feels like a completely different place with the work Matt and the team have done. Now on to the food and drinks. We spend a while deciding what to have, but eventually settled on my wife having the asparagus starter while I had the steak tartare. We both had started envy, which says alot. Main courses were steak babette for my wife and venison for me. Finally we had creme brulee and a cheese plate for pud, followed by cocktails (bravo to Ian for having a huge wine list and great cocktail menu). Everything was amazing, really great classic dishes, cooked amazingly with a plenty of flair and great flavours. I have read a few reviews saying portions are a bit lite compared to the old restaurant. Well to that I say its a new restaurant, the food is a different class, and we could not have had any more. Everything was rich and delicious. We will be going back, soon! I want to try everything on the menu, even the veggie options, which speaks volumes. Lastly, service was perfect, jsut the right level of attentive, friendly and naturally warm.
