Massimo La Lupa is a charismatic restaurant owner from Rome. He has literally nurtured his love of cooking from the cradle. It was his mother who steered his culinary ambitions in the right direction: “Massimo, my boy, watch what I do every day in the kitchen. Then go out into the world and cook for people the way I have taught you.” Massimo followed his mother’s wise advice. Now he can look back on more than 30 years of success in the restaurant industry. Even in the 1970s, when he was still running his restaurant in Hamburg-Altona, his cooking won him the admiration of Erich Böhme who was then editor of Der Spiegel (a German news magazine). Later when Massimo opened “La Lupa” in the chic colonnades his gourmet clientele did not stop growing. Eaters of fine food are now passionate about the “Massimo” which is on Sierichstraße 112 in the middle of upmarket Winterhude. Massimo believes that cooking is a combination of tradition and philosophy. Cooking involves daily creativity. It requires you to be constantly surprising but always authentic.
