Restaurant description

Crowned Best Restaurant at the 2013 London Lifestyle Awards, MASH is a North American steakhouse offering up succulent cuts of meat in slick and modern surroundings. With an open-plan layout, designed by interior design duo Herbert and Duncalf, MASH’s dining space includes sophisticated booth seating in the heart of London’s Soho.

Renowned for their prime cattle dishes, the MASH menu showcases meats from around the globe. Enjoy dry-aged Denmark beef or the Japanese Wagyu, alongside delicious side orders that include meaty bone marrow and signature MASH mac & cheese.

The dessert menu at MASH in London serves up some fantastic dishes that include MASH dream cake with vanilla ice cream. MASH’s love of US liquor is thankfully extended to the bar menu, where signature cocktails include the cleansing St. Lawrence and the $5 Milkshake, made with Bulleit bourbon and maple syrup.

Very disappointing as I thoroughly enjoyed a previous visit. I asked for my steak 'medium to well' and this time it was totally overcooked and like leather. The raspberry sorbet was excellent but the cheesecake heavy and tasteless. I wouldn't recommend the restaurant after this recent experience. I may try once again myself, as it is so conveniently located.

brilliant. We had the set meal, steak main course - absolutely perfect

Although the meal was adequate in terms of taste, it was hugely overpriced. Paying £30 each for steaks which were tiny and had a large amount of fat adding to the overall weight was disappointing to say the least. Not only was the steak overpriced it came with no accompaniments meaning that £5 for chips and additional prices for a sauce was eye-wateringly expensive. When my wife asked for mayonaisse this was also charged at £2 even though it was less than 2 teaspoons. We were quickly put off and was in the restaurant less than an hour. However the cost of £127.00 (which included £14 service charge) was way over the top. I have had a bigger and tastier steak in a pub.

We ordret teater-menu, and it was beef from Uruguay and chicken breast. Very Nice. Dessert was creme buelle. It couldn’t be better. Nice Price.

The staff were attentive, but the pricing is misleading, all prices are without VAT. Extortionate drink prices, water £10 a bottle. Wine £11 a glass. Added extras made this overpriced. The steak was average. Nice touch with a birthday cake slice on a handwritten plate. Not worth it at all disappointing

Restaurant is quite dimly lit and a bit of an old fashioned vibe but very cosy booths and feels quite grand. Very attentive staff and the food was delicious.

Of all the steak restaurants and chains in London - Mash holds it own. The atmosphere is great, awesome service, it feels like a very grand and special occasion when you're there. The food is delicious, whether you go for one of the prime selection of steaks, or even opt for something else from the grill. Good range of delicious sides as well - not to mention sublime bread and butter to start - it's all about the salt crust! By no means a cheap occasion, but well worth splashing out for a treat
