Excellent food and service

We were the first customers that evening, but the friendly staff and nice atmosphere of the restaurant ensured we didn’t feel awkward because of this. We had some lovely food (a pizza and a lasagne) and wine, and enjoyed the meal. Our main waiter was excellent and really considerate, polite and warm.

Food was amazing! One thing I would say is it’s not a place for a light lunch. Drinks menu is limited as they mostly sell wine and if you don’t like wine or not a huge fan then there isn’t really much option apart from a cocktail and gin menu. Apart from that would happily go here again.

Service was fabulous. Variety and amount of sandwiches offered for a party of four was extremely disappointing. On the other hand cakes and scones provided were plentiful. It was nice to have the choice of coffee and tea. Staff were extremely helpful changing our booking time at the last minute to enable us to watch the England game

Very friendly staff, lovely food, roast chicken , wild mushroom macaroni cheese very nice, chicken goujohns were amazing, the best bit was the restaurant staff gave my husband his dessert for free as it was his bday, lovely gesture!

The spaghetti was awesome

Food was excellent, however the service was very slow and it took approx. 20 minutes to order our first drink, considering the restaurant was 75% empty.

We were a party of six. They put us in the private room, the restaurant was empty otherwise ...
Staff was very friendly and nice.
Unfortunately for them the food that they serve is mediocre. Even though we were the only guests that evening, fish and meat were overcooked and dry, caneloni average, desert a disaster. Waitress was so embarrassed we felt sorry for her and still gave her a tip. Such a nice lady. Won't go back though. Not nearly as good as Gordon Ramsay's equivalent.

I was very disappointed with my most recent visit to Marco's New York Italian, Oxford and will certainly say this will be my last visit. The food was terrible and my ribs were totally inedible and was surprised the chef saw fit to serve them at all, i could not cut any meat from them at all, it was just gristle and sinew, my husbands food wasn't much better. I have noticed that this restaurant has been going down hill hugely since it first opened and obviously cutting corners as their once hand cut chips are now the frozen kind and the once good cuts of meat now cheaper versions. Think this restaurant needs the Gordon Ramsey touch, "Restaurants From Hell"
