Supported by very friendy waiting staff, we were let down yet again. We were seated almost an hour before being approached for our meal orders. And that was only because I asked them to come and take the orders! Starters came after another 20 minutes with almost another hour until we received our main courses. Strange, really. They were more tnan attentive to bring us drinks very quickly. My burger was tepid, though tasky enough. But very over priced - as was everyting on the menu. All bog-standard stuff. It was early evening when we went - hardly anyone else in the restaurant except for our party. Can't believe how long we had to wait. But - the drinks kept coming - that's where the money is. Makes one wonder, eh??? Won't be going again - they've run out of chances with me.

Early evening dining, great choice of food. Love marco's steak night on a Monday

The atmosphere of this new restaurant is very pleasant , in a modern glass annexe to an old hotel. It is a shame, however that the food is rather dull and in the case of most of our party, poorly prepared with e.g. soggy scampi and indifferent and rather greasy pasta . It is also rather expensive for what it is, and whilst our young waiter tried his best to provide good service, one person in a restaurant of this size, even when only about one quarter full , is going to struggle .

We dined at 7.30 p.m. on a Saturday. Restaurant about half full. The food was good, but waiting staff need more training, and service from the kitchen was erratic.

Went for a/tea; very, very poor food. Awful sandwiches, bread was dry. Only one scone between two people and it was overbaked. Very poor cakes, could have got better ones in supermarket. Would definitely NOT recommend, and will certainly NOT go again.

We decided to celebrate husband's birthday here but were sorry we picked this restaurant. Menu choice very limited. Food was poor - my chicken with herbs was tasteless (except for the herbs) and very meagre. My husband's medium steak was rare - his plate was running with blood. Chips were of the type you get in a well known burger bar. Very poor value for very expensive prices.

Dined at Frankies for evening meals as i stay at the attached Holiday Inn Express, the food and service is very good, especially at the earlier sevice times, i would give the place a well done for service....which is very good.....another well done for the food...which is on parr with the likes of Piccalino and the RBG's of Chester and Leeds etc....and a well done for keeping the menu nice and simple!!! done

Lunch time Sat.4/8/12. Waitress super. Lasagne indifferent, my own home made is far better. What was on top? No taste, chewy goo, not good, definitely no Italian flavour. Nice surroundings but value for money - no I don't think so. I live locally and would choose another venue as would several other friends who have been disappointed since it opened.
