We came here to meet a friend who we had not seen for some years and booked the special lunch menu . We explained to the waitress that we were in no hurry and she fully respected that but made sure from time to time that we had all that we needed . The food was ok and generally in keeping with the price charged but , do not order the Caesar Salad which was very poor and lacking incredients ! The atmosphere and service was friendly and helpful at all times .

The restaurant was nice and the staff helpful. We had a little glitch as when our soup arrived it wasn't hot, but this was rectified quickly and without fuss. Both our pasta dishes were tasty. We received this as a present on a groupon voucher and were a little disappointed at how few items were on the set menu that didn't incur any supplementary charges. Why don't you just make the set menu slightly dearer for two and take the supplementary charges away? I'm sure diners would look on this more favourably.

It had a nice relaxed atmosphere and the food was good. A member of staff called Ines was very helpful as my wife has a nut allergy, she took time to go through the whole menu with her and was very attentive.

I came here for Christmas Day lunch and was very impressed with the initial layout and design. The restaurant is based in the Holiday Inn, Brentwood, and has a modern and classy feel about it. For lunch I chose the prawn cocktail for starter, Turkey dinner for main, and Christmas pudding for dessert follow by coffee. The whole meal was delicious and the perfect size. Highly recommended. The staff were attentive, but not overbearing.

Good service but not great food. Chilli in all the pasta dishes, but no mention of it on the menu. Overpriced.

It was lovely! Both staff and food. However, I do feel the location of the restaurant was a bit out of the way. Being a well established business. It should be placed in the centre of the Brentwood high street itself. It was very clean and tidy.

Service was slow. Drinks were not up to standard and again slowly served. One of meals was cold and misrepresented on menu. One desert we had was again misrepresented on menu. Felt it was expensive in comparison to dining experiences we have had elsewhere.

I booked the meal through Groupon, as a meal for two for £19.00. When we got there, the waitress got our drink wrong- twice, but I didn’t want to say anything the second time, as she was trying to get things right, she just mad a mistake. The Zucchini starter was off the menu, which I wanted, and the Spagetti in the chicken Milanese tasted like tinned spaghetti! I still didn’t say anything, as it was edible and a nice atmosphere in the restaurant. When it came to paying the waitress said that I had to pay another £44, as the Groton deal only covers vegetarian dishes!!! That was not on the voucher and how can you give guests a special offer and then charge them more! This is a bit of a con and I told the waitress at the time and she just said that they are stopping those vouchers soon. I would never have paid that much money for a basic meal if I had known! Please can you give me some feedback about this. Also, I am currently studying a degree in Hotel and hospitality, so I know the restaurant will not be happy with this, especially as the restaurant is one of a celebrity chef! Many thanks
