Outstanding Sunday lunch. Very good quality, aver pleasant experience. Very much enjoyed the self service starters and deserts. Will be returning very soon.

Generally very disappointing

Communication between bar and restaurant poor. Waited 20 minutes for a drink and was told by Barman he only had one pair of hands.
Was shown to table in middle but asked for another as very noisy in restaurant.
Starter of Calamari was tepid. Waiting staff were lovely but food slow to appear. Meal was mediocre. Big money for small portions......16oz T-bone was more like 10oz.

Nice layout, no table on top of another.
Warm friendly staff.
The food was excellent, the French onion soup, was rich and full of flavor.
The Sirloin steak, was perfectly cooked, and very tender.
The Apple & Raspberry crumble, was absolutely delicious.
Could not fault the quality of the food.
I'll look to book again.

Loved the place, pictures of Marco made the impression almost as if he was cooking for us personally.
The food was lovely, delicious, I had the Duck and my partner chose one of the steaks from the menu. I am not a steak lover, but honestly, after having a bite, I can say, this was the first steak, that was actually all right to me. The sauce served with both of the dishes was outstanding.

It was our first time at this restaurant. Sunday lunch was quite nice. Don’t like the fashionable hard vegetables but the meat and fish was cooked well. We will try a evening meal here to decide if it’s somewhere we would go on a regular basis.

Generally a disappointing dining experience. Service was good but food no better than average and hugely over-priced. The beetroot with feta starter had hadly any feta. The bearnaise sauce had split, the steak pie had hadly any steak in it & shephard's pie was described as no better than one out of a packet. One of the diners was gluten free & in most good restaurants, the kitchen & waiting staff offer to adapt dishes but here the gluten free guest was handed an alergen card which was difficult to interpret & didn't break down items in order to see whether the dish could be adapted e.g. the only starter listed as gluten free was the sub-standard beetroot dish when others may have been able to have been served gluten free by replacing normal bread with gluten free, but this wasn't offered as an option. On the plus side, the ribs as a starter were described as nice, but small for over £9 and the chicken dish got an 'ok'. Hardly great praise! Other than plenty of pictures of Marco Pierre White adorning the walls, clearly that is the only link here as the staff said he had never been to the restaurant and the standards were clearly nowhere near what would be expected from an establishment associated with a once great chef. Another example of a famous chef franchising their name at the expense of their reputation. I certainly won't be rushing back!
