Having had quite a few previous afternoon tea’s at this resturant I was slightly disappointed with the sandwich selection this time, but the service more than made up for this.

From world-renowned chef Marco Pierre White, Marco Pierre White Steakhouse Birmingham marries an ultra-slick setting and sumptuous old school recipes. On the 25th floor of the spectacular Cube building, 360-degree views of the city are offered.

Offering a range of uncomplicated classics, the Marco’s menu stays true to British cooking, with dishes like signature shepherd’s pie, or roast partridge with chipolatas and bread sauce. Heading a sterling selection at Marco’s restaurant is a range of succulent 28-day-aged steaks. Sample a novel-thick cut of T-bone, or a luxurious fillet served with all the traditional trimmings.

Nostalgic flavours for dessert see old school classics served with a high-end twist, with offerings like bread & butter pudding, or a retro sherry trifle. An extensive wine list at Marco’s in Birmingham perfectly complements the richly flavoured cuisine.

Evoking a cool cosmopolitan vibe in this breath-taking setting, guests can enjoy Marco Pierre White Steakhouse's glass-fronted al fresco terrace during warmer weather. The Mailbox is a stone's throw from MPW Steakhouse, and New Street Station is 10 minutes' walk away.

Had a lovely meal, the food was outstanding as was the service however when receiving our bill we had also been charged for some food from a different table. Good thing we double checked the bill.

We decided to dine at Marco Pierre White as it was my daughter's birthday and special occasion. From beginning to end the experience was very disappointing. Service was poor and and there was no one waiter/waitress serving our table. We ordered bread at the beginning of the meal and this came without butter. We waited at least 15 minutes and tried to get the waiters attention, who ignored us. We eventually had to go and ask a waiter for butter who replied that there was butter on our table. Eventually after another 15 minutes when the bread was cold butter was brought to the table. As for the food the steaks were not cooked according to instructions for at least three of us and the chateaubriand for two was four waiver thin pieces of meat. The rest of the food was edible albeit bland and not what you would expect from this restaurant. We have been to other steak houses where the food is delicious and costs half the price. Also, the cocktails were very expensive and did not taste very good. There was no atmosphere in the restaurant, the service was appalling and food was very disappointing.

A very plush but elegantly designed restaurant

The food was perfectly cooked and the waiter service prompt

Marco Pierre White lingered in conversation and made each guest feel special as he signed his beautiful recipe book

    THANK YOU

More than just a lunchtime meal, it was a fantastic food experience with excellent food, service all set in a great location.
Was a bonus meeting Marco !
Will be coming back real soon with some more friends to impress

As usual we enjoyed our lunch here. However, young waiters would have benefitted from some more experienced personnel serving as well

The food was tasty and portions reasonable.
    Drinks are expensive.
Service was mediocre with our server often walking past but not looking towards us when trying to get their attention. It also took a long time for food to arrive at every course.
There seemed to be a couple of tables of either staff/or friends of staff which seemed to be diverting the workers attention from the other guests.

I really liked the scones with cream and jam and the views from our tale where spectacular. I also really liked the tea and the service we received was very good.

    Very disappointed!
Booked a window table to celebrate my daughters birthday.
Awful table right by the service area, crashing and banging of cutlery and crockery.
My ‘well done’ steak was returned still bleeding. My daughters steak, neither of us were able to cut through...also returned, but cooked through further making it into a piece of leather...inedible.
Children running round between tables, loud canteen feel to restaurant, not the refined eating experience we had anticipated.
Lauren, our waitress was great, apologetic and reduced bill sufficiently once challenged.
We will not be returning any time soon.

Birthday treat for my son who loves steak. From the simple booking on the website to entering the restaurant, everything seemed easy and at ease. Greeted by lovely staff that were quiet, unassuming but very able. Through the meal, they were unobtrusive and very polite and friendly. We mentioned we’d seen the 30% off on the website and without any funny looks, we were taken to our table and at our request, one close to the huge windows where you could almost have a panoramic view of Birmingham. We passed some great, atmospheric photos of Marco on the walls and entered into a lovely dining area. Great menu. From starter to mains with lots of little side dishes, we devoured it all with smiles in abundance as it tasted so good. Nice mix of large table groups, families and couples. A super dining experience. To cap it off, we’d mentioned it was my son’s birthday so at the end of our meal they brought out some chocolate cake for him with a candle - very nice touch. Loved every minute of it and we will return. Value for money? Oh yes
