Restaurant description

From world-renowned chef Marco Pierre White, Marco Pierre White Steakhouse Birmingham marries an ultra-slick setting and sumptuous old school recipes. On the 25th floor of the spectacular Cube building, 360-degree views of the city are offered.

Offering a range of uncomplicated classics, the Marco’s menu stays true to British cooking, with dishes like signature shepherd’s pie, or roast partridge with chipolatas and bread sauce. Heading a sterling selection at Marco’s restaurant is a range of succulent 28-day-aged steaks. Sample a novel-thick cut of T-bone, or a luxurious fillet served with all the traditional trimmings.

Nostalgic flavours for dessert see old school classics served with a high-end twist, with offerings like bread & butter pudding, or a retro sherry trifle. An extensive wine list at Marco’s in Birmingham perfectly complements the richly flavoured cuisine.

Evoking a cool cosmopolitan vibe in this breath-taking setting, guests can enjoy Marco Pierre White Steakhouse's glass-fronted al fresco terrace during warmer weather. The Mailbox is a stone's throw from MPW Steakhouse, and New Street Station is 10 minutes' walk away.

The restaurant is amazing! Absolutely beautiful views and the live music was amazing. All food was delicious and well presented. Staff were all lovely and very helpful. The only thing I would point out is poor parking.

I booked this experience for a friends Birthday and although the services was very good, unfortunately the same cannot be said for the food. I did not want to raise this at the time as I though it would spoil my friends afternoon. The champagne Bellini were lovely, the sandwiches were a little hard and only 1 jar of jam and 1 jar of cream was provided. I found this odd as it was an afternoon tea for 2. Also, although cakes that were provided were plentiful, there was only 1 of each and just 'plopped' on top of the plate. It would have been more beneficial to have less cakes but 2 of each. Finally, serving plates for the food were chipped and my water class was stuck to the table due to food left over from a previous sitting. Its disappointing for me as I had been looking forward to this experience.

The food arrived in good time and was really tasty, the pot of tea we asked for after lunch took a considerable amount of time to arrive which was a bit annoying. Unfortunately the toilets really smelt of sewerage which ruined the experience slightly.

My party enjoyed the G&T afternoon tea and it was fabulous! We could definitely taste the gin in the cakes. Excellent value for money. Fantastic cityscape views over Birmingham. Our waitress Kayleigh was really friendly and attentive.

Overall the food was good. Pricing wasn’t as steep as I was expecting. Restaurant nice and staff attentive. Only issue I have is I paid £5 per head to sit by the window and on our table for 2 one seat did face out of the window whilst the other opposite faced back into the restaurant, so no breathtaking view at all. For me these tables could be better arranged so that both occupants can see the view. But all in all a good experience. Will be back.

Average service, not greeted upon arrival and no offer to have coats taken. Service also felt a little rushed at the beginning. The food itself was good and views across the city were amazing.

We loved the whole experience from start to finish, we both had steak dishes and they where cooked to perfection. our waitress was more than helpful, she even surprised my Girl Friend with a birthday plate... it was a really nice touch. If I had any negative comments, it would be down to other guests..... we had a table quite close to the live band/act, meaning it was quite loud. this wasn't much a problem for us as we enjoyed the experience.. but we saw two tables complain about the music and they got moved to window side tables...... this was a bit annoying since when I was making my booking at the start I was told there was no window seats left. I really enjoyed my time at the restaurant and will definitely return.

The waitress Alexandra was very helpful. The food arrived warm and not hot (for the price I was paying I like hot food) the views are beautiful and the atmosphere was wonderful. I will return again but I will be choosing another dish.
