Service was brilliant and so was the food however the deal was 50 pound for two course meal for two and in the advertisement steak was included but then there was an extra charge and two lemonades also brought it up to 80 pound

Offering a range of uncomplicated classics, the Marco’s menu stays true to British cooking, with dishes like signature shepherd’s pie, or roast partridge with chipolatas and bread sauce. Heading a sterling selection at Marco’s restaurant is a range of succulent 28-day-aged steaks. Sample a novel-thick cut of T-bone, or a luxurious fillet served with all the traditional trimmings.

Nostalgic flavours for dessert see old school classics served with a high-end twist, with offerings like bread & butter pudding, or a retro sherry trifle. An extensive wine list at Marco’s in Birmingham perfectly complements the richly flavoured cuisine.

Great food, nice view of my beloved city

It was disappointing. We had a corner table by the window to take in the amazing view which was the highlight- not the food.
We ordered two steaks (rare and medium rare) along with the sauces etc. The wine was lovely which was included in the set price menu.

The steaks arrived however the steak which was rare was over cooked and once we got a member of staffs attention, it was removed and another steak reordered. The steak came back, however it appears that it was cooked then seasoned and that was it. It was dry. It hadn't been basted in its juices as you would have expected and when you cut into the steak it was not bloody which is what we expected. This was disappointing and informed a man in a suit who was allowed to make decisions as to how to rectify the situation. He offered a complimentary dessert initially and free coffee to which we declined. The steak was taken away again and not reordered.

We were told by the waitress that all the supplements had been taken off our bill. This is a real frustrating thing and bug bear of mine I'm afraid, I am not clear why there are extra charges on the menu in the first place. There was an extra £8 for the steak, plus £3.50 for the sauces. This menu is designed to create the impression that you are having a good deal when in fact you are being mislead which becomes clear when you get the bill.

We left the table to go outside and when we returned the dessert was sitting there on the table. Why did they not wait to present the dessert when we were back. It's a small point but adds to the service. There were a lot of staff on duty but no one really paying attention to the customers.
We the got the bill however it was not customer friendly. The waitress apologised and again had to get the manager or man in suit! He tried to explain the bill but it was non sensical and the system blamed. He then reduced the bill to which we paid.

I booked this treat for my husband as a part of our wedding anniversary celebration. The best part of the dining experience was the setting. With beautiful views over the city, comfortable seating and a pleasing atmosphere. However, the food was a complete let down. Although we choose from the special offer menu; I expected better food than a budget food chain. My whitebait starter was ok but it went down hill from there. The crab salad was dry with little flavour or moisture to make it palatable. Norton our waiter had good customer service and offered to change the dish. As a non meat eater the only other option was the tomato and gnocci dish. This was only marginally better due to having a sauce but it too was disappointing with little flavour. Neither dish I could finish. This experience left us feeling deflated on what should have been a memorable night

Menu wasn't what I thought would be like eg burgers/ chicken Kiev. My husband's main meal a steak was sent back twice, he still wasn't happy so they took it of the bill. This was our first visit with friends and will not be returning, the restaurant is very overrated.
To pay £5 a head for a window view took look out on blocks of flats is disgusting

A lovely restaurant with great views. Food nice but nothing special

Certainly the venue delivers the 'wow' factor and is very impressive. The 2 courses and half bottle of wine Booktable offer was an relatively inexpensive way for our party of 6 to experience the restaurant. The options on the set-menu were quite limited and whilst we all enjoyed our food, it was fairly basic and ordinary. We added a 3rd course on the night and it didn't significantly increase the cost. With just 2 courses, you may go home feeling hungry. The included house wine was very good. Service on the whole was good - the staff are very attentive - once you can get their attention. At times service was a little slower than we would have liked - but I guess that gives you more time to enjoy the surroundings and is better than being rushed. Definitely worth a visit and we had a great night.

We enjoyed the meal and wine in the restaurant very much, the service was very good and the staff friendly and efficient. We had a table where we could see the view across Birmingham on a fine evening but not at the edge as my head for heights is not great !!
