Great service, really nice restaurant sadly i chose the Wheelers fish curry which had three prawns & two tiny pieces of fish in it. Really poor quantity. Ill leave 3 stars as my partner really enjoyed the steak she had.

We booked the Easter Sunday lunch and both chose the 'roast sirloin of beef' expecting a lovely roast dinner. What we got was a piece of sirloin steak badly cooked (we weren't asked how we would like it), a couple of sorry looking potatoes and carrots. The pudding of sticky toffee was terribly dry and awful. The food was all around terrible and we'd never go again. I can easily see why we were one of only two tables taken on Easter Sunday. The only saving grace was that the waiting staff were pleasant.

Dreadful. Booked as a special occasion and totally let down. Food was average, my son had a very chewy steak. Cost £90 for 2 people and my cocktail that was badly leaking from the moment it was put at the table was never properly wiped away leaving a horrible sticky mess all over the table. I have written to the restaurant and await their feedback, but would not recommend this place to anyone. Poor service, mediocre food and bad cleanliness. I expected much more considering the price and the chef reputation.

We had a set Sunday lunch menu. We were greeted by stressed staff, sat next to a couple who were so close to us, we should have asked them to join us. The service was slow, we were bought drinks we didn't order, embarrassingly were served each time before the couple next to us even though they had been sat there before us and we're generally treated as of we were a table of 4 not two. The soup was delicious. The roast dinner was not what we expected, roast beef consisted of steak with roast trimmings. The steak was very tasty however if I knew I was going to be served steak I would have liked a choice of how I wanted it cooked. Very big disappointment that we think the Yorkshires were from a packet they were perfectly formed and tasted like aunt bessies. Come on this is a Marco pierre white restaurant! The potatoes, veg and gravy very well seasoned and cooked. When served we were not asked if we wanted any sauces and the waitress disappeared so it was too late when she came back to even ask. I asked twice for more gravy and this was delivered upon my last bite. I couldn't manage pudding as I was full however my husband had a knickerbocker glory and said it was nice. I was still charged for the full 3 courses so I advise anyone who goes if you are full ask for a takeaway. Overall food good but service poor. Would not be happy if I paid full price for a meal and receive such service.
