This is our third visit for a pre-Christmas dinner, and fifth visit in total. On each occasion we have been impressed by the excellent food, very friendly and welcoming staff,
very pleasant atmosphere, and in such wonderful surroundings. We look forward to our next visit ! Thank you to all the staff.

The hole dinner experience was fabulous, my husband said that his starters was stunning and the same for mine. mains was totally toes curling x afters well what can you say words cant say enough, well worth every penny will return again,

Where can I start
My beetroot starter
Was tooo cold hard few flakes of goats cheese and mouldy walnuts with a nasty taste
My husband had the pork pate
Was too cold and hard and tasteless
The olives we couldn’t bite into them
My husband burger was very poor compressed meat that didn’t taste nice
My Fish and chips the fish was all batter
The meal was poor quality

the food was great, but the staff did no much about the menu when you asked them a question about some thing on the menu they just walked away and did not answer the question

Starters and desserts and my mum's steak and ale pie were very good. My rib eye, however was tough. It was cooked medium and the way I like it but was still chewy. I did mention it to the waitress who advised that the chef said that was how ribeye ought to be. This is not the case as I have eaten ribeye many times before. The only thing I can think was that the particular piece of ribeye I was given was not at it's best and the normal standard of quality. I was offered a free dessert but I think the waitress and the chef should have done more. Neither were obviously not happy that I mentioned it.
