amazing view. Food was same on Saturday night as the Sunday lunchtime menu. There were a few variations but most dishes the same. They don’t offer a Sunday roast which was a real shame. Quality of food was good and the staff were very attentive.

Having arrived at Plymouth Hoe to find the restaurant we were a little surprised to find it was located in the Crowne Plaza Hotel, however the lobby bar was a nice space and we enjoyed a pre-dinner drink. We regularly eat at MPW in Birmingham and naturally expected the same experience. We could not possibly have been more disappointed. The restaurant was located in the penthouse and promised spectacular views of the Hoe and Sound, which on one side, it did. The side we were seated on however offered a council flat vista added to only by the spitty mouth prints on the window presumably of the child of the last customers. During covid in particular we were appalled at the lack of hygiene, but would not have expected this of a "luxury" restaurant at any time. We asked to be moved and we were accommodated. Once seated many hotel guests with very young children, some in nightwear arrived, clearly thinking this was the hotel restaurant rather than choosing it for a special occasion. We're not averse to children but at 9.30 to find yourself surrounded by toddlers who clearly wanted to be asleep did nothing to enhance the experience. We asked for a wine list, there wasn't one. We ordered drinks, which were then forgotten. We ordered olives to eat while we awaited our starters, they were forgotten. We ordered 2 steaks, both medium. When they arrived mine was rare and my wife's was well done, and that's being kind. It was the same colour inside as a big mac. We sent them back. They were re ordered, when they came back we had the same issue but the other way round, my wife's had just stopped moo-ing and mine was over cooked. We sent them back, asked for the bill and left hungry at 10pm. It was a complete disappointment and so far removed from the standard we had hoped for and expected.

We had a groupon voucher and had the set menu. The choice was fine, service good and staff were attentive and the atmosphere was lovely ( it was busy but not noisy in the restaurant). The food came out quickly and was delicious. We had a good date night x

The restaurant I believe was supposed to provide affordable luxury. The ambiance and setting of the restaurant were superb, however I treated my son to a T bone steak cooked medium. Unfortunately there was a lot of fat and tough bits and watching him trying to be polite and enjoy it while trying to pick through it I found very awkward. We didn’t complain as I didn’t want to ruin the evening but I don’t think the steak was worth the money I paid. The rest of the meal was lovely.

Visited the restaurant following our daughter's graduation. The staff were lovely, we were not rushed and nothing was too much trouble. The food was amazing and very reasonably priced. Would definitely like to visit again.

Nice view from restaurant. Service very slow. Food overwhelmingly excessive in quantity. Too many sandwiches, Too many cakes. Did not need double the quantity of scones, jam & cream. Would prefer quality not quantity as a lot of food was wasted because there was too much to eat.
