Very disappointing experience. My partner and I came here for dinner whilst staying at the jury’s inn. The restaurant was dead, music extremely quiet, the place felt dull. Food was ok but nothing special. I would recommend other places over this that are half the price. A shame bearing in mind how many nice restaurants there are in Oxford that we could have gone to instead.

We both had Duck Leg with Bearnaise Sauce -- dishes arrived promptly and both the duck and the sauce were excellent, as were the sides (French fries, salad and green beans with almonds). Service staff were extremely professional, accommodating and attentive. Restaurant was well presented, clean and comfortable.

We had an amazing evening celebrating our 45th Wedding Aniversary the staff were excellent , food so good down to the prawn cocktail and ribs starters to the mains dishes we had, the attension to detail was so special as at the end of the meal our deserts came out with Happy Aniversary written in chocolate sauce. Great memorable evening thank you.

Overall very disappointed, over priced for portion size and quality of food. Tempura of calamari and prawns, one small prawn on my portion, when I queried this was told ' Sorry there should be 3'! For nearly £10!! I would expect more than 3 tiny prawns, there was plenty of calamari but that is cheap as chips to produce!! Prawn cocktail contained limp lettuce, tiny prawns with very little dressing, again overpriced!!! Chateaubriand was perfectly cooked but hadn't been rested as blood was streaming all over the board, surely a steakhouse should know that a steak needs to be rested??

I was with the family and me and my son ordered meat. So my Spareribs was very good and also the quantity was very good. My son got the Rumpsteak. He ordered it medium and it was on the point. The quality from the Rumpsteak was not so good. But for 20£ was ist okay. The Team was very nice and also very attentively. Thanks I will visit a second time.

Whitebait starter and chateaubriand main with mushroom sauce were both sensational.
