Booked a table on line for 9pm. [...]At that time there were a few things missing off the menu and something a simple as Dijon mustard wasn't available (in fact the waitress said it was funny but 6 people had asked for French mustard that day and they didn't have any! However, the food we had was fabulous but not sure about the actual place itself - sorry Marco (but I love the Swan).

Our reservation was for 20.30 and was taken to our table on time. Our starters were excellent; my scallops were devine. I ordered a medium rare fillet steak which, although the taste was very good (well seasoned etc.) it could have been a little rarer for me. The side of vegetables were a delight although too many carrots and therefore not enough variety. We didn't have dessert, just coffee; again good quaility but a little chocolate to accompany it would have been a nice touch.

We booked a table for 4 people for 7pm on 30/07/11. all the staff were very friendly & attentive. I had the kipper pate to start & lamb for main, both dishes were delicious. The other members of my party were similarly delighted. I would not hesitate to recommend this restaurant & will be visiting again soon.

Went to MPW on saturday 23rd July To celebrate my parent's Ruby Wedding Anniversary. There was 22 people in our party, We got greeted by one of the Manager's and from the moment we were showed to our table the evening was relaxing and very enjoyable,we all ordered starter's and not a single one of us were disapointed, and we thought we would wait a while for them because we were in a lge group but that was'nt the case. The staff are very helpful and attentive all evening. When are main meal's arrived there was'nt a sound from any of us, due too all of us enjoying all the lovely flavour's and quality of the food. I would just like too thank the staff for a very special night for my family & friend's.My parent's felt so spoilt and loved every minute of it.

I was so looking forward to my first MPW experience. I tanned, went to extra effort with my hair, new shoes....the whole bit. The restaurant is lovely on the eye, very very cramped but lovely. We had a reservation for 6 and they only had a table for 4 ready for us (we had an early booking so no excuses). We ordered a bottle of wine.We had to ask for the 2 extra settings to be brought to the table when the entrees arrived because there was still no cutlery. The wine had still not arrived even though our mains had. I had the crab for entree- nice. Just nice. Two people ordered the beetroot ravioli. There were 3 pieces on the plate- that was it....The men were trying not to laugh when they saw it placed before them. My main was the Belgium mussels. Lovely but again, a tiny serving. They should've been embarrassed. It would barely qualify as an entree size. Other than the lamb, all meals were tiny. We also had dessert. By this stage I just wanted to feel satiated. It wasn't a disasterous evening-the company was great but we all went home and made toast and continue to laugh about it now.

We booked our table for 8pm there were 4 of us. We were shown to our table and unfortunately had the one by the kitchen door! We ordered drinks and the order was wrong, although they quickly rectified it without any quibble. We all enjoyed our starters, but felt they were expensive for the portions. As it is a steak house, we all ordered steaks, 3 ribeyes and a t bone. They were all tough and tasteless!! So disappointed! The service was only ok. We felt they were all too busy to be attentive. No one asked how the food was until we were leaving and a gentleman in a suit asked us how our experience had been!! Think he was sorry he asked! We were all very disappointed, especially when the bill came as it was London prices!!
