Restaurant description

Set on the 5th floor of the Doubletree by Hilton, Marco Pierre White Steakhouse Bar & Grill Lincoln is a stunning restaurant by the acclaimed celebrity chef. With breathtaking views out over the city's historic cathedral and the Brayford Marina, this is a plush yet approachable spot to indulge in gourmet British recipes with French influences.

The Marco Pierre White Steakhouse Bar & Grill menu is filled with indulgent British flavours, with signature creative tweaks given to traditional recipes. Light bites for the table include prunes filled with mango purée and wrapped in bacon, while the signature French onion soup and charcuterie sharing boards offer homely, rustic tastes. Steaks come from the royal warrant appointed butcher, Campbell Brothers, are aged for 35 days, and come in a variety of cuts, with optional gourmet sauces to add. There are also other classic tastes like chicken Kiev, and market fish of the day.

Children's menus at Marco Pierre White Steakhouse Bar & Grill in Lincoln make this a versatile eatery, while on the dessert menu there are sinful creations like banana and caramel mess, and New York baked cheesecake. Alongside the wine list are expertly crafted cocktails and mocktails, with treats like the espresso martini making a perfect finish to any meal.

I was given a table close to the window, as requested at the time of booking, which gave a great view of Lincoln Cathedral and the lights of the "up hill area". The food was good for me but the curry my guest selected was a little bland. Service was good and the staff were attentive with being obtrusive.

Restaurant had run out of prawns but still really enjoyed the steak meals we had. Lovely venue and view over Lincoln. Service wasn’t too bad but not the best either. One waitress seemed to be doing most of the work and as a result we got fed up waiting to order extra drinks and didn’t bother in the end. Woman who appeared to be manager, did practically nothing all night and was facing away from the tables so had no idea what was going on. Lovely meal but just expected a bit more of a polished service

The table we were sat out had a wonderful nightime view over the skyline of our beautiful city. The charcutire board was exceptional and my partner and i thought the fillet was beyond compare . Our server was a fantastic young lady so attentive, polite and well mannered .

Expensive but nice ?? not sure a service charge of £25 is warranted on a table of 4 ??

The afternoon tea was excellent and the lady serving was brilliant, nothing was too much trouble. Would highly recommend. The lady serving in the bar was also excellent, very friendly and helpful with our cocktails

Menu and chosen food was very good. Service was poorer. The customer service needs elevating to match with the food, dining experience, the name of Marco Pierre White that it is associated with and the price. I would introduce staff training that is nearer to the fine dining experience for us to come back. As it stands we wont be returning even thought he food was good as the staff seemed to be trained to the same level as bistro staff. Looking around us they were mostly middle aged + diners with disposable income that expect that bit higher customer service or people on romantic/anniversary evenings that were special to them.
