Ordered olives they where very hard to eat only managed three you would expect them to be pitted. I followed that with the chicken which was very nice, my wife's fish on the other hand was not so good soggy greecy batter over cooked fish and quite small not as described by the waitress. who said it was very large When I mentioned it to the waitress she just said I I will tell the chef and that was the last we heard . No reply. Not good service . Don't think I would be so quick to book again.

We had a poor experience for our first meal at Pierre White, Lincoln. As it was our first visit we were not directed and felt a little lost for a start. The restaurant is on the top floor, way above the city with good views. The room is a fair size and very noisy. Our order was taken and food delivered to the table with no problem but there were several little things that spoiled the evening especially as this is at the top end of restaurants in Lincoln. Our table lantern went out half way through and was not re-lit. The salt pot was empty. Our empty cocktail glasses were left on the table for most of the meal. When I asked for French mustard to accompany my steak they only had Dijon. To cap it all the coffee machine was "out of order" we were offered instant! We gave our feedback to staff on the evening. Our meal was very good but so it should be at these prices. Please regard the above as feedback and not a complaint.

We were at first unsure how to find the restaurant which is on Level 5 of the hotel, but this is not clear from the signs. We were impressed that we were greeted by a lady who knew of the allergies I had put on the booking and was welcoming and reassuring. But we were, for some time, the only diners in the restaurant. The view was beautiful however. When the menu came it was a £20 for 3 courses set menu, which did not have the option of £14.99 for 2 courses advertised online. This was disappointing and there seemed to be no alternative but to accept it. We did not order wine. The food was delicious and I was impressed by the way the chef accommodated my allergies. The waitress was appropriately friendly. Overall we had a very good experience.

Disappointing. Looked forward to the meal all month especially as me and my friend were able to get together for a meal after this miserable year & even better get it on a help out offer as normally couldn’t justify prices for a in the week dinner! The location is lovely and you can get a good view: even better if they put you by the window. The drinks were delicious, small but really enjoyed my non-alcoholic version of pornstar martini. Unfortunately, the food ruined the evening. The starter was fine, edible and although bland was an acceptable starter dish. My main course was steak and chips with onion rings and I ordered the steak medium rare. When taking a first bite, I chewed the meat for a good few minutes before having to retrieve it from my mouth out of fear of choking. Unfortunately, it didn’t get better in taste or texture when cutting pieces throughout the steak. Although cooked as advised I feel the quality of beef was very poor - unsure if this was due to offer as other tables had similar complaints. The waitress Katy was so apologetic and lovely and due to ours and everybodys experience was helping by letting us order a dessert off the main menu which was lovely. A real shame as had high hopes for my food but only managing to enjoy chips and a dessert made me not want to return.
