Serving modern British cuisine from the world-famous chef, the Marco Pierre White Steakhouse Bar & Grill looks out over a lawn leading to the river Cam, just upstream of a punt rental station.

The décor at this Marco Pierre White restaurant in Cambridge is contemporary and minimalist, with the focus being on the views from the large glass windows of the brasserie. From here you can see the Mill Pond meadow and the punters (of varying degrees of skill) making their way down the river.

In the summer the doors are opened onto the terrace in front of the brasserie, and guests can wander the grounds, or sip tea under the shade of trees.

Just a 3-minute walk from Marco Pierre White Steakhouse Bar & Grill is Cambridge's famous mathematical bridge, belonging to Queen's College just opposite. The city centre is also an 8-minute walk away, complete with its shops, theatres and other colleges.

We booked for a high tea and it was delicious. The food was very good. The location was beautiful. One thing what I would have preferred was a choose between theas. Now we had the regular tea but I reather had a different kind of tea. But that's just a little thing, and the rest was perfect

We came here for a hen party and was pleasantly surprised to find that we were given our own private room.

They had laid out the table beautifully and we even had time to decorate prior to the bride getting there.

The beautifully presented afternoon tea came out on tiered platters to share between two and there was two of everything so great for sharing!

The sandwiches were delightful on soft bread with the crusts cut off and deep filled. The scones were accompanied by clotted cream and jam and were light and fluffy which was a delight. There was then two very moist cake slices per person which were carrot cake and chocolate cake which were an absolute treat to finish the meal with. The top tier also contained a white chocolate truffle each and a freshly made macaroon.

Having afternoon tea here was an absolute luxury and we were treated like royalty.

I booked afternoon tea for 8 to celebrate my daughters 21st birthday with her grandparents. I e-mailed twice to confirm the booking and to add dietary requirements of a vegetarian and a diabetic. I received no response to either e-mails. I therefore telephoned the day before and it took fifteen minutes to speak to some-one. I re clarified my requests asking for some savoury items in addition to the afternoon tea and offered to pay extra. this was acknowledged but not supplied. On arrival several members of the party were a little early so we ordered a drink which we waited twenty minutes to receive. When the afternoon tea arrived we'd nearly eaten the tea before the hot drinks were served and that was after asking for them twice. We asked for butter for the scones which again we and to ask twice for. The one male Italian waiter couldn't be faulted but the girls who were waiting were unfortunately not up to standard. overall we enjoyed the afternoon but the customer service whilst attempting to book the afternoon and the service by any other than the Italian waiter was absolutely shambolic.

A very classy restaurant, excellent staff and fantastic food. We were made to feel welcome from the moment we arrived and greeted with friendly, smiling staff. The service was amazing and the food was so good, tasty and presented really well. Celia was our server and she was brilliant, so nice, friendly and attentive. I will certainly become a regular at this location.
