My friend and I had an amazing time. The restaurant is very well set out and the staff are also amazing. The food was out of this world and the dessert was to die for. We were at the restaurant for a little over an hour and from getting to the restaurant to leaving could not have been any better.

The restaurant itself was fine, food was good but it did take an hour before it came out and we were constantly having to as how much longer it would be, which I feel is definitely unacceptable, especially as we were on our lunch break and made it clear that we needed a pretty quick service before we sat down to dine. The staff were apologetic and did give us a small discount of £4 off the bill which didn't make that much of a difference, especially as there was a £10 tax added (which was not mentioned on the menu when booking and non-negotiable) in addition to the discretional service charge (which we asked be removed for obvious reasons). All in all, I probably wouldn't dine here again because there was nothing that made the experience that special and although the food was good, lots of places do good food and without a non-negotiable tax being added!

Positives: My Fried Calamari starter was a good size and tasty. My fillet steak was cooked well, and my sticky toffee pudding was ok. However, my wife's starter of "Halloumi salad" was basically 70% iceberg lettuce, one slice beetroot, one slice watermelon, AND ONE SLICE HALLOUMI !!!! That is not a halloumi salad, that is a salad with a slice of halloumi. My wife's roast turkey meal was poor. Some of the broccoli florets were cold, the turkey and stuffing came in a roll, sliced, and it looked like it had come out of a tin. Pretty awful. The roast potatoes were just new potatoes deep fried, small and unappetising. My wife's Xmas pudding came with a "thimbleful"of brandy sauce, and the pudding was dry and solid. We asked for some more brandy sauce and was given another thimbleful. We didn't want to make a fuss, but at that point we called a supervisor. She apologised and gave us £12.50 off ( 25% of the set menu cover price). We had booked for 2pm, but arrived at 1.40 thinking we could have a cocktail at the bar first . However we were shown straight to our table. The was a party of eight or so, adults and children, already in the restaurant. But that was it, no-one else came in to dine whilst we were there...........tells you something. Poor ambience, no music, a member of staff walked through the restaurant with a dog on a lead at one point. Poor service, poor atmostphere, poor all round. Waste of £76.00. Paid part of the bill with a £50 note and left, leaving no tip(S/charge had been added). The waitress came running after us a few minutes later saying her boos would not allow her to accept £50 notes !!!!!!!. I changed it myself at an adjoining Bureau de Change for 2 x 20's and 1 x 10 and took my £50 back. WHAT A PANTOMIME. Would I ever go there again, or anywhere with Mr White's name on it? NEVER. Would I recommend anyone else go? NEVER We don't mind paying London prices providing we are not ripped off, however, this booking and meal spoilt our day. Merry Xmas
