It was a good evening. Food was nice and reasonably priced.

Our waitress (i believe the manager) was polite and happy, and kept our glasses full.
We did experience a customer complaining, and from what we could hear, she dealt with that well and didn't cause a scene.
The setting is nice, although quite a walk from the double tree hotel main entrance which isn't highlighted.

But no complaints at all, it was an enjoyable experience.

The restaurant is well decorated and furnished, with a good mix of table sizes. The staff were attentive and friendly without being overbearing, adding to the relaxed atmosphere. Excellent food, with good portion sizes served quickly considering the restaurant was quite busy at the time. Will definitely be back.

As I have been to Mr white’s own restaurants and his other what I assume to his franchise eateries before and has had good experience, my husband however had never been to any of restaurants and so upon my recommendation he came with reluctantly have visited Mr white’s own London restaurant in the passed and other franch in and around London, guess I was not expecting the Milton Keynes bar and grill to be any different. But unfortunately ii was somewhat disappointing in places. Our main was chateau Briand with side orders which was done and the wine we choose with was also good so no real complaints there. The service, the starter, desserts were all a little and at times very disappointing. We were greeted by a waitress who seemed friendly enough, she gave us the menus... we ordered Gin and tonic (having been a hot day) this I were the substandard service began, we were given gin with the measure we ask for but warm tonic with no ice. We guessed she may have never served any G&T before so we asked her for some ice wihich was to her credit was quickly brought (in a small glass) but was not enough for two servings of the drink so we asked her to bring more politely of which seems to annoy her but did as we requested At this point we got this feeling she really didn’t want to be there let alone to serve us, my starter was scallops which was not ver fresh so felt the chef dried to drown that by usage of excessive truffle oil( I did mention that to the head manager who came to as our experience so far. My husband enjoyed his starter).
We felt we should have stop there had we know what the dessert was going to taste like. I ordered sticky toffee pudding which came overhead hard as plastic,so I left it after a couple of mouthfuls, my husband didn’t like his either. We were presented with the bill of which my husband paid as he does not like complaining.

A little disappointed. This is the third time we've dined here, following really good experiences previously. I said on my booking that it was a special 50th birthday celebration for my sister but there was no acknowledgment, not even a candle in the dessert! My friend ordered steak, which had to be sent back as it wasn't cooked as requested and then the pepper sauce ordered was inedible and she left most of the meal. To be fair, this was taken off the bill at the end without us asking, but it was a shame as we have only had good meals there before. Hopefully just an 'off-night'.

Very friendly staff and pleasant environment no annoying music to interfere with conversation. A few more items on the menu would be nice but food was very good. As a lager drinker only choice of 2 a little disappointing but a solid choice for the 2 they chose.

It was a special occasion treat and we had been looking forward to visiting the restaurant for some time. It was a little disappointing as upon arrival we were informed there was no burgers available. We ordered a T-bone steak only to be told that had sold out as well. Plus there was no triple cooked chips either.
However the starters we had were delicious, the steaks we ordered were really good and the mushroom sauce was incredible.
The kitchen made a special effort for the dessert which was much appreciated. Thank you.
