Restaurant description

A proper haven for BBQ lovers, Manchester Smokehouse is a bustling wood-filled venue that serves up traditional home-style dishes from the States along with a tremendous selection of craft beers, all with a packed line-up of live music events.

Rubbed with secret recipe herbs and spices, the meats on the Manchester Smokehouse menu are cooked to perfection over hickory, oak and fruit woods. Tuck into Texas hand-sliced brisket, pulled pork, and juicy baby back ribs, adding in smoked garlic fries, wood-fired nachos, or the onion bomb with Alabama white BBQ sauce. For brave diners, there are chicken wings marinated in signature hot sauce that is so spicy that it comes with its own disclaimer.

Hand-stretched pizzas are a popular choice at Manchester Smokehouse, along with a choice of well-stacked burgers. For pudding, indulge in sweet waffles with ice cream, chocolate sauce and toffee popcorn, while from the bar there are all kinds of ales and craft beers on top, along with a great selection of artisan spirits.

A meat-lover's dream, Manchester Smokehouse packs in an eclectic live music schedule, and sits 12 minutes' walk from Deansgate Rail Station.

Excellent service by staff, very attentive. The food was delicious and excellent portion sizes. The big smoke platter is a must for anyone wanting to try authentic smoked bbq, ribs, pulled pork, chicken and brisket all cooked perfectly, with great side dishes. Absolutely recommended.

Love this place, been around 4 times now and it never fails to impress. Food is stunning, staff are great, great atmosphere especially later on at night when it fills up. We were very early and they still managed to accommodate us which was great. Prices were excellent and plenty of choice on the menu Location is brilliant for when in Manchester Town Centre Only thing I can fault was the pint of Guinness and Pint of American beer tasted of cleaning fluid from the draught lines, probably not flushed through enough and it was early. Had them swopped no problem so all good

Very bad service on the night, booked for 8:15 and didn’t get seated till 8:45, although they did accompany for one extra person. Very good waiting service, very efficient, but brought out the wrong meals twice. One dish was brought as a starter instead of a main so was dismissed by the table, however when the mains did come, this dish was missing as it was assumed that we had taken the dish when we hadn’t. One burger was incorrect, however this was notified and given a new fresh and correct burger. In between the meal there was a power cut but no explanation given however the power did return minutes later. The staff also started to pack away and clean around us before we had even finished our final drinks.

We had The Big Smoke and it was everything we expected and more! So glad we didn't order starters, we are big eaters and we still didn't finish off the chips & chicken. Will most certainly be back, great value for money.

Service was a bit slow and the food was pretty average. Not bad, but nothing spectacular. And £2.50 for a glass of soda water? Really?

Really enjoyable, its comfort food and they do it well. Good service, decent mid range price and food was well cooked. The smokehouse ribs were excellent, really flavoursome and tender beef. Went with small kids and the venue and the menu worked really well for them too.

Booked a table online. When we arrived the table wasn't ready so we were told to wait at the bar. Drinks were very very very expensive. Waiting at the bar was like being cooked up in a cage and it was uncomfortable because of the lay out. Around 10 minutes later we were shown to our table which was clearly a table shoved on the end of the row. It was a squeeze to get in, getting barged by people going past. Not even a minute after sitting down, the waitress was trying to take our order but we hadn't even opened the menu yet. I asked her for an allergen list and she looked at me like i was talking a different language. When she eventually brought it over, I was limited to choices due to my allergy of eggs. She tried to take our order another two times in the next 5 mins when we weren't ready, clearly trying to rush us. They asked for the allergen menu back before I was finished with it because someone else needed it. So I just chose the safe option of steak. They asked me how I wanted it cooked, any sides etc. My partner ordered his dish. The food came quickly. The starter of nachos was delicious. When the mains came, they were good portion sizes. My partners fries didn't arrive so we asked the waiter and he said he would check on them. They never came. When we asked for the bill, they had charged us for the upgraded fries, when I explained that no fries ever arrived, they took off the price of the upgraded fries but still charged us for regular fries which didn't arrive either. As they were all young waiters/waitresses they clearly didn't care so I just paid and left. The food itself was 10/10 but the service was poor. It was also very very loud in the restaraunt

Exactly what was expected. Food and service was good, had the 911 and was not that scary, I liked it.

Shocking food and service , first of all the chicken wings are deep fried which isn’t explained on the menu when I asked do you do normal chicken wings they said no, then I ordered ribs and cheesy chips which was both burnt to a crisp , the waitress took the chips back and they ams out with just more cheese melted over the top of the original chips ( comical) the boss obviously saw this s knocked it off the bill without us asking but other then that no one asked us how our meal was even tho nothing was barley touched on either plate , absolute shocking experience
