A bit disappointing sums up our visit of 4 friends. We arrived earlier than our booking but our table was already available (we were probably the last booking of the day).
Serving staff did not know nor understand their menu but to be honest it became comical - so not too bad. Starers were ok. The "special" was crown of lamb which was served as 2 lamb chops withe spring greens. The problem was the lack of a potato dish to complement the lamb (except for tins of chips which - were obviously wrong).
    desserts were also ok.
Tuesday evening might be a quiet time for this restaurant but for average pub food and poor service we will not be returning anytime soon.

This is the second time in as many months that we have visited and both times we had to send the food back. The steaks were raw in both instances. The waiting staff explained that we asked for medium rare and that’s what was cooked. We assured them that medium rare and raw are not the same. We won’t go back

Excellent service, wonderful food, and we really appreciated the opportunity to have a look round the building after our meal - it's amazing!

Really enjoyed the visit. Starters - Chicken and pork terrine, good, the broth a bit bland,The duck main course was delicious. Not a great selection of desserts. Staff very helpful and friendly.

The food was good however the service was a little slow. We were put in a room where no one else was when we arrived and it lacked the atmosphere you'd expect from a place like that. We waited at least 20 minutes before our afternoon tea was served to then be told the scones were coming out later? Isn't this the whole idea of afternoon tea, to have everything served at once? They were warm when served which led me to believe they hadn't actually be made in time for when we were served the first part of our food!

Price wasn't bad for the amount of food we got, was it the best afternoon tea I've ever had? No, but it was OK. I have been here in the past for dinner which was lovey so I'd recommend the restaurant on that basis as it had a lot more atmosphere than the room we were seated in for our afternoon tea.
