Restaurant description

Paying homage to traditional Scottish cuisine and native customs, Mac and Wild serves up London’s most traceable meat and seasonal produce straight from the wild Scottish Highlands. The eclectic, hunting-lodge-style interior is filled with leathers and chunky wood, animal furs, and black & white photography. Guests can also try their hand at target-hitting on the virtual shooting range.

The meat-heavy menu at Mac and Wild City is filled with prized signature dishes, headed by the ‘Veni-Moo’ burger, which boasts awards including London’s best burger. Other favourites include the haggis mac and cheese, venison chateaubriand, and drippy Scotch eggs. There is also an entirely-Scottish whisky selection of over 200 blends.

Mac and Wild Liverpool Street serves a Scottish-themed brunch at the weekend, bringing the finest Scottish produce south of the border. Served every Saturday and Sunday, unlimited prosecco or brunch cocktails can be added for £23. From the bar, beers and ciders are cherry-picked from across Scotland, and there is a selection of playful cocktails, including the Irn Bru-themed Forth Bridge, and the spicy Highland Solstice.

Guests can enjoy the sun-bathed terrace during warmer weather, or dine in the Highland 100-seat restaurant. Find Mac and Wild London a 4-minute walk from Liverpool Street Station.

Very good and with a taste card the food was 50% off! Recommend the venison or steak onglet

Good deal but they missed an opportunity to upsell additional dishes and the shooting experience. I was barely acknowledged by the front desk and taken to the table without a word. She just put the menu in front of us and walked off. No one explained the deal, or asked if we wanted to book the virtual shooting (we did) when I enquired a very nice waitress said she would go and find out. She never came back. Asked again about 30 minutes later and a 3rd person came and told me (much later) that unfortunately the last slot had just been booked online. There were a couple of birthday parties happening but plenty of empty tables. With the number of staff available, there is no reason for that level of disinterest. There are lots of other deals available in London. Customer service makes a big difference.

Expensive, even for a deal. £6 for a 2/3 pint of beer is ridiculous. Burger was delicious however.
