Restaurant description

A high-end concept brought to you by the former MD of steak restaurant Gaucho and Le Gavroche chef Michael Reid, M Victoria is the second M opening, joining its hugely popular sister restaurant, M Threadneedle St. This award–winning grill restaurant was shortlisted as Best New Opening 2016 and won ‘Best Grill Restaurant - London’ 2018.

Offsetting its succulent grill cuts with a nutrient-bursting raw bar, the M restaurant menu focuses on supreme ingredients, cherry-picked from across the globe. Enjoy RAW specialities like tuna sashimi or kangaroo tartare, along with GRILL favourites like braised lamb, or a succulent Aberdeen Angus steak.

Head down to the basement-dwelling M bar to sample a host of signature cocktails and street food, where live arts and DJs conjure a high-octane vibe. The M restaurant group was bestowed with ‘Sommelier of the Year’ award from Harpers 2015.

Entered by a spectacular wine store, M restaurant Victoria is an ultra-slick drinking and dining emporium in London. Find Victoria Station a 6-minute walk away.

Great ambience, attentive staff, food was overall OK, but... But. Out of 8 steaks ordered, only 2 were cooked correctly, all the others were overcooked. Inexcusable for a steak restaurant.

The service and value for money were excellent. The only downside was there wasn't much atmosphere and it was cold enough to want to keep your coat on.

Pre-Hamilton dinner. A la carte, 3 course and 4 course meals offered. Bookatable offered £34 for the 4 course with unlimited Prosecco instead of £37. We don’t drink so that was brought down to £27. Main of Hake was ok. I had to add (Himalayan) salt to bring up the flavour. Steak was small. Deserts were not so great. Cheesecake just cake and Snickers-whatever lacked actual chocolate. And should have been colder. Seemed like room temperature. Friend had a glass of wine. £15, which was a tad offensive as the meal was only £27. That price should indeed be adjusted! Overall service was more than friendly and fine, front of house and at the table. One last comment: The Ladies Room is so so so dark, you can’t even see to put lipstick on. Really frustrating and unnecessary.

Did not feel like a restaurant. A few tables, all but ours empty, in the back of a cocktail bar hidden behind a screen. No warmth or ambience at all. Food OK but still felt that we were not really welcome. Small portions, expensive extras.
