Restaurant description

From the acclaimed M restaurants in Victoria and the City, M Bar & Grill Twickenham offers casual drinking and chic grill dining. Created by M executive chef and Great British Menu star, Michael Reid, expect a menu of modern British dishes and award-winning steaks.

The M Bar & Grill menu is led by lovingly sourced steaks including Highland wagyu and British beef. Succulent cuts can be paired with indulgent sides such as triple-cooked chips or truffled mac ‘n’ cheese, whilst other hearty mains include a rotisserie chicken with confit garlic, rare breed pork shoulder with buttermilk purée and cider jus, and the M twist on fish and chips, complete with potato emulsion and crispy oyster.

Sunday roasts at M offer indulgent twists on the classics with the likes of slow-cooked wagyu beef and rare breed pork shoulder on the menu, whilst brunch favourites are also given the M treatment, with hens’ eggs and sourdough soldiers, and sweet potato hash brown with duck egg amongst the options.

Overlooking the River Crane, find M Bar & Grill at Brewery Wharf opposite Twickenham Station.

Great food, great wine and great service! However, portions are not huge, so not for those wanting 10kg of meat. But It makes it a comfortable experience allowing you to enjoy three courses without busting the belt.

poor menu choices (no vegie option - sold out at 8PM) - very average food at high prices. Restaurant was not very clean. Service was good.

A group of us dined here before the Quins game v Worcester on Saturday 16th Feb, something we have done before. The food was excellent - some had the fish and chips and a couple the steak pie. The wagyu scotch egg as starter was also rather good. The service was excellent and we really liked the fact that we ere able to reserve a table in the bar for after the game, all organised for us by Chad.

Nice location and atmosphere, although quiet on a Tuesday. The food was good rather than spectacular. The service was excellent. We had an offer that was 50% off food portion of bill, which made the meal pretty good value, but the drinks were very expensive - nearly £10 for a small glass of wine!

The restaurant was beautiful, staff were polite, funny and accommodating. The bread and butter was amazing, as was the starter. However, myself and my partner where really let down by our steaks. Being students we don’t usually go for a £27.50 steak each but being his birthday we decided to end our day in London on a high. Although the steak looked good, they were chewy and cold which didn’t seem right for the price we paid and unfortunately, that ruined the rest of the meal for us. We didn’t say anything at the time as my partner didn’t want to as he wanted to try enjoy the rest of his birthday. Although we didn’t order dessert, the staff did treat my partner to dessert with a candle in, which we thought was very sweet even though the waitress told us that it would have come sooner if it wasn’t for the fact that they were waiting for it to defrost, which again wasn’t what we expected from a restaurant of such quality. Overall, the experience was okay but not what we expected at all, especially because of the amazing food at the start.

Booked table for 11 friends for husband's 50th birthday. Friday evening 8pm. Service at the table throughout the meal was unattentive & painfully slow. Some bread finally appeared to nibble at 915pm whilst we were waiting. Not enough for 11 people. Requested some more & was informed it would take 20 minutes to "heat up" & prepare! We were told that 3 of the starters were unavailable which didn't leave much choice. Food finally arrived after a ridiculously long wait & no communication from the waiting staff. For the main courses, my husband's steak arrived 10 minutes after the rest & it was the wrong one. Had to wait another 15 minutes for the correct one to be prepared & arrive, by which time everyone else had finished their meal. Had to request sauce & vegetables as none came with the food & the waiter hadn't suggested we order anything. Food quality was average. Portions very small. Total shambles. Restaurant manageress pretty much invisible throughout the evening. Just stood staring into the kitchen at the pass whilst we were waiting. After we had paid, 2 bottles of fizz appeared at the table. I assume as an apology for our dreadful meal experience. I would rather have had something taken off the bill instead. We paid over £700 in total. We gave a cash tip to the 1 waiter who had actually made an effort to try to look after us. He was clearly very embarrassed. I would have refused to pay the full bill but didn't want to make a fuss in front of our friends, given it was supposed to be a celebratory meal. Won't be returning or recommending.

Disappointing. I've always been impressed with the other locations but this was a let down. Service was poor, potentially understaffed, with drinks and service slow to arrive. When our fries were rock hard and stick together the waitress shrugged and walked off. My wife's dish was also tepid in the middle. They offered to replace the items when I caught the attention of someone else but that's not the point.

Food is great. Kids menus is good. Wine list is impressive. Decor etc is immaculate, draught beer isn’t that great. Service is perfect. Cost is a little expensive to be a regular place to go in Twickenham. This probably is why it wasn’t that busy for a Sunday lunch time when the Sunday lunch is so good.
