Nestled between Victoria and Westminster, Low, Slow and Juke is a funky basement smokehouse that serves up authentic tastes of the American deep south. As well as the juicy meat delicacies, there are eclectic cocktails, craft beers, and popular live music events too.

Succulent slow-cooked meats are hand-rubbed and smoked to perfection on the Low, Slow and Juke menu. St Louis slab ribs, beef brisket and tender chicken come with a selection of house sauces and gourmet sides, while groups can indulge in sharing specialities like buckets of chilli and caramel chicken wings. Brioche rolls come filled with pulled pork and green slaw, there are towering burgers, and old favourites like bacon mac 'n' cheese.

Handcrafted cocktails are a speciality at Low, Slow and Juke in Victoria, and include creations like the smoked cherry Manhattan, and the pineapple & black pepper Margarita. The craft beer selection is extensive, and for dessert there are treats like gooey chocolate brownie and woopie pie with chocolate and peanut butter.

With funky, colourful style and a great ambience, Low, Slow and Juke sits only 3 minutes' walk from St James's Park Tube Station.

The food was not great. My pork ribs were very dry, it felt like they just slapped on the marinade less than an hour ago.
The ribs were also quite burnt on the outside.

Usually good ribs that have been well basted should fall off the bone.

Also, the coleslaw I had was very bland and not tasty at all.

All in all, it was an edible meal but not enjoyable.

Service was decent and slightly above average.
