As always, the whole experience was delighful. The venue is just the right size to be intimate without feeling cramped, the food was fantastic and the service superb. The Christmas menu was excellent as usual.

We've been here several times now and have always had really well cooked and presented meals. The menu choices are always something different to regular restaurants.

the food was ok, neither my husband or I like parsley, so it would be better if a sprig was placed on food rather than lots of chopped parsley, it's difficult to remove. The prawns starter was very hot, but the rest of the food warm, rather than piping hot and my husband felt his starter had be cooked then heated in microwave, as coating cardboardy and not a hot as it should be

Halloween quiz night on Monday. Well organised, the food (from a set menu) was excellent - fish pie or steak and mushroom pie with lovely buttered vegetables followed by hot cherries and icecream or baked apple and custard. The restaurant was decorated appropriately and the staff joined in the spirit by wearing various ghoulish costumes. The staff as always were very efficient and friendly. A fun night was had by all.

Two of us went for an evening meal, the Restaurant was next door to a Spar outlet and parking seemed to be directly outside or in the pub car park opposite. The restaurant itself was quite small and intimate. The menu were fixed prices for 2 & 3 courses and supplements for the more expensive cuts of meat. The food was excellent, the main course we both had was the steak and mushroom pie, now we both prefer good quality food to large quantity food, this restaurant does both the pie was full of tender beef with the odd mushroom , not the other way round. The vegetables were well cooked, delicious and more than we could eat, so much so that neither one of us could be tempted with a dessert. I would definitely go back when staying in that area. Would have liked to seen a chicken dish on the menu and the option of no garlic, but I would recommend this restaurant staff very friendly, attentive without being the sort that hover.
