Offering lunch, dinner and afternoon tea on the edge of Hyde Park, the London Elizabeth Hotel Restaurant is a tranquil hideaway in the heart of the city. The rustic food is all prepared from scratch, and largely British with Mediterranean influences, whilst afternoon tea at London Elizabeth is a classically indulgent experience. The main dining room exudes timeless elegance, whilst the floral courtyard offers an idyllic al fresco retreat in warmer weather.

This was a very poor excuse for afternoon tea. Soggy basic sandwiches that were not even cut into fingers and scones with mold. The cakes were bite size pieces which were clearly shop-bought, not freshly made and literally one bite per person. Tea is basically a selection of Twinnings tea. Fruit, breakfast tea and white tea. The only positives were that the waitress was really polite and the room the tea was served in was nice enough. A basic hotel breakfast room.

We went for afternoon tea and the food was amazing! Great selection of sandwiches and cakes and there wasn't too much food like in some afternoon tea's I have been to. The restaurant was beautiful and across the road from Hyde park so it was ideal!

It was awful! Sketchy looking, poor service, no idea that I had booked. I specifically said I was vegetarian and they gave me sandwiches that were all meat. I had two bites and left. Even the tea was awful. Would NOT recommend.

Satisfactory. Staff were friendly & helpful. We booked an afternoon tea for 15, the restaurant tables were all ready for us when we arrived in pleasant surroundings. Tea was adequate.

My friend was visiting me from Norway and I decided to show her the afternoon tea tradition. Was very dissapointed, the scones and the cakes were hardly fresh. Sandwiches were all right. The waitress was hard to find. She was never there.

It was a pre-retirement afternoon tea for 7 including one gluten-free colleague. The online booking went smoothly; when I telephone dwith some amendments the day before our tea, I was dealt with very courteously by the person who ansered the telephone and the person in the restaurant. Excellent service on the day and food and drinks very satisfactory. Excellent atmosphere without distracting noise.

We arrived a little early for our booking but we were welcomed cheerfully. We enjoyed a pleasant meal with superb service although we felt that specific Indian, Kenyan or Ceylon (Sri Lankan) teas would have been more in keeping than English breakfast or flavoured teas as the only choice, however it will not stop us from recommending nor us coming again when we are next in London.

The food and restaurant was great! Yummy gluten free options. They were very accommodating at making a last minute reservation since this site didn't work.
