Restaurant description

Housed in a charming building dating back to 1509, Lock Fyne Winchester serves a delectable seafood menu in a cosy, inviting atmosphere with original fireplace settings and exposed wooden beams. A separate bar area is the perfect place to relax and unwind with a pre-dinner drink. Winchester Cathedral is a short stroll away.

Specialising in fresh oysters and shellfish, Loch Fyne restaurants present an abundance of delicious fish and seafood dishes.Favourites include the hot and cold shellfish platters, along with the Loch Fyne mussels, which are harvested only when in season. Luxurious main dishes span from the classic crispy scampi with twice-cooked chips, to recipes with an international twist, like hake katsu curry, and whole roast sea bass with salsa verde. Loch Fyne has a vibrant kids menu, and there are succulent, grilled meat dishes for the carnivores.

An elegant wine list beautifully complements the fish and shellfish favourites. All of the seafood at Loch Fyne restaurant is sustainably sourced, either from abundant wild stocks or responsible farming.

Visited here today for the second time. The food and service was excellent. Only one minor comment was the use of paper serviettes , I’m not a fan.

We visited on a Sunday afternoon. The restaurant was quiet, but that suited us as one of our party is disabled and needed help with access.Three of us ordered the mussels which were delicious, and my father enjoyed the burger. We would definitely dine here again.
