Unfortunately they were understaffed so had to wait half an hour before ordering a pre-lunch drink. It then arrived 20 minutes later. My husband had fish and chips from the main menu and were excellent. I had scallops from the main menu followed by dressed crab. Could not identify any white meat and the crab tasted very strange with something obviously added to bulk it up. Not a very pleasant experience considering the price. The wine was very pleasant.

Food, menue, price good. Stained material cushions look terrible. Cost of cleaning would be small and refleck on management.

Nice looking restaurant. Our waiter a bit off-hand. We had the set lunchtime menu but had to ask for it as it was not offered at first. Starter was delicious with very nice bread. We both ordered the risotto but it tasted and looked like rice pudding - dreadful. Can’t believe that they think that is risotto. Manager offered choice of another main course. Spaghetti with prawns was SWIMMING in chilli oil. Come on Loch Fyne, you can do better.

Although I had reserved a table by emaiL, and receIved confirmation plus a reminder that morning there was no table reserved for us. But it did not really matter as there were free tables. But if it had been booked out we would have been in trouble.
