Restaurant description

Arguably one of Wales’ most idyllic spots, Llanerch Vineyard offers refined British cuisine in a 5-star setting. Set within 22 acres of the lush Vale of Glamorgan, guests can look out over the picturesque grape-filled fields.

Offering classic dishes which bring sumptuous natural flavours to the fore, Llanerch Vineyard menu offerings include grilled market-fresh fish fillets, succulent duck leg with raspberry jus, or beetroot tart tatin with Welsh cheese. Desserts are made fresh on the premises, and change according to the season.

Sourcing bins from the Llanerch estate as well as further afield, the Llanerch Vineyard wine list offers a knowledgeably sourced, easy-to-understand selection. A celebrated list of regional cheeses complements the wine list perfectly, and guests are welcome to amble through the vineyard at their leisure.

The pride of this 5-star retreat, guests can enjoy dining on the summery patio during warmer weather, or in the homely Llanerch restaurant dining room. Central Pontyclun is an 8-minute drive away.

Dining experience was great. The Cariad wine tasting was very tasteful, as was the steak meal that we had.

Service very good (save for deleting our booking) but felt the quality of the food wasn’t as good as I was expecting / hoped.

Very enjoyable afternoon but a bit shocked to be asked to pay 20pence for a small box to take home the cakes we hadn’t eaten.

Lovely Sunday lunch. Servers were lovely. Bit of a crush getting through the bar. Reception took us through to the restaurant, felt that a chat and a smile would have been nice. Very nice overall, dessert was stunning, will book again .

From arrival to the end of the meal everything was perfect. I am finding dining out more of a nuisance these days as restaurants get more twitchy (and rightly so) about allergies. Llanerch Vineyard dealt with it perfectly. Once I had notified the manager that I was the one with the allergies no other communication was required. We were served a portion of homemade olive bread with oil and sundried tomato butter, everything was delicious. The main courses brought a gasp from us, not only did they look fantastic they tasted as good as they looked. I had the sea bream which was cooked to perfection. The side of cabbage, leeks and peas was also beautifully cooked. I tried the roast parsnips side and they were extremely tasty. Two of our party had the sticky toffee pudding as a dessert. The portion was much bigger than they had thought they would get but they both said that it was really light and they managed to finish the whole plate. I had a dessert of lemon meringue which was presented in a dissembled way. The whole dish was sublime. I would highly recommed Llanerch Vineyard. This is my second visit and both have been exceptional. I also feel that it is ecellent value for money.
