Such a beautiful setting and a new experience for me. The food, drinks and service were all excellent. I would definitely recommend the Cariad dry white wine. I will be recommending it to my friends and family and look forward to visiting again very soon.

Offering classic dishes which bring sumptuous natural flavours to the fore, Llanerch Vineyard menu offerings include grilled market-fresh fish fillets, succulent duck leg with raspberry jus, or beetroot tart tatin with Welsh cheese. Desserts are made fresh on the premises, and change according to the season.

Sourcing bins from the Llanerch estate as well as further afield, the Llanerch Vineyard wine list offers a knowledgeably sourced, easy-to-understand selection. A celebrated list of regional cheeses complements the wine list perfectly, and guests are welcome to amble through the vineyard at their leisure.

The pride of this 5-star retreat, guests can enjoy dining on the summery patio during warmer weather, or in the homely Llanerch restaurant dining room. Central Pontyclun is an 8-minute drive away.

We had afternoon tea and it was beautiful! There were plenty of options and the afternoon tea was presented really well. It is lovely to see that things were homemade also.

We were in the Bistro and the food was lovely and the staff were nice. The only drawback is the bar is much too small.

Had a birthday present off my best mate and his wife for an afternoon tea. Never experienced it before and was not sure whether I would appreciate it or not. My mate had been before and as I trust his judgement new it should be ok. Well it did not disappoint and was a fabulous experience, the food was great and the welcome and service was equal to the quality if the day.

Very enjoyable evening. This was our first visit to the restaurant and we were impressed with the lay-out, the airiness of the room, and the feeling of space created by the windows and patio doors overlooking the vineyard. The service from everyone was excellent and very attentive. A new young waitress was being trailed and observed by a senior colleague and this was done with absolute discretion, without the feeling that she was under pressure or severe scrutiny. She was pleasant, chatty and professional. The menu was nicely varied and the food we ordered (scallops, asparagus with poached egg for starters, hake and tuna for main course) was well presented and cooked beautifully. For me, the celeriac puree and apple match-sticks were a lovely combination with the sweetness of the scallops and the tuna was delicious. One thing I should make mention of is that the table we were allocated had recently been re-varnished and the whole surface was somewhat sticky - so much so that each time we lifted our glass to drink, it stuck and there was a danger of it spilling. It was pointed out to the manager and staff who dealt with it perfectly efficiently and offered us an alternative table but we declined due to the pleasant position of the the original one. We got around the problem by placing our glasses and plates on our table napkins, thus preventing the items from sticking. As I said, the staff were lovely about it and mentioned that they were aware of the problem from previous diners' experiences with the same table. That being the case, I think if I were manager, I would replace the whole table until the problem was resolved, or at least have it covered. This was a minor observation and in no way did it detract from a very pleasant evening.

This was a lovely lunch. The service was excellent and unrushed. Food was beautiful. Nice to sample a local wine as well.

Booked for 2 people for afternoon tea on a Saturday in July. Arrived promptly and were greeted politely and offered a choice of seating. As it was early we were able to take advantage of the small outdoor seating area for a better view. Staff were very professional, offering a tea menu and explaining how the afternoon tea worked. Tasty leaf tea arrived soon after and were talked through how to get the best flavour. The afternoon tea stand was impressive, well made with good presentation. Each item was talked through again by the staff, who also continued to check if we needed a top up of hot water for no extra cost.
Overall a delightful experience which i would recommend for a pleasant afternoon out.
