I told my mother for her birthday for afternoon tea . It was very good and the service was excellent . The waitresses asked us if we wanted more food and hot water.

Arguably one of Wales’ most idyllic spots, Llanerch Vineyard offers refined British cuisine in a 5-star setting. Set within 22 acres of the lush Vale of Glamorgan, guests can look out over the picturesque grape-filled fields.

Offering classic dishes which bring sumptuous natural flavours to the fore, Llanerch Vineyard menu offerings include grilled market-fresh fish fillets, succulent duck leg with raspberry jus, or beetroot tart tatin with Welsh cheese. Desserts are made fresh on the premises, and change according to the season.

Sourcing bins from the Llanerch estate as well as further afield, the Llanerch Vineyard wine list offers a knowledgeably sourced, easy-to-understand selection. A celebrated list of regional cheeses complements the wine list perfectly, and guests are welcome to amble through the vineyard at their leisure.

The pride of this 5-star retreat, guests can enjoy dining on the summery patio during warmer weather, or in the homely Llanerch restaurant dining room. Central Pontyclun is an 8-minute drive away.

Aweful, The time we had to wait for a main course was around 45 mins to an hour, On of the steaks was far from rare, more medium well done. We had overseas corporate visitors with us and it was embarrassing to say the least.

Came here for Sunday lunch. Loved starter and dessert. The main was ok, the veg in particular not great - roast potatoes overcooked and veg a bit dried out. Seemed like they had been under the heat lamp for a long time. The main was under seasoned. So .... the food was ok but probably won't come back for a Sunday lunch. Also the dining room was full and given that it's not a huge area, is not pleasant under these conditions. So if we come again, it'll be at a quieter time and probably for the standard menu

Lovely setting and nice bistro. The staff were really friendly and professional we were very impressed.
Food pretty good but the bacon in the burger tasted odd and if the chilli had come from frozen there were lumps of mince which were a bit unpleasant.
Welsh rarebit and lemon tart were spot on.

The bistro seating is much more comfortable and better spaced than the restaurant, We didn't have starters so can't comment. The mains were all well cooked. Please don't spoil the experience by using frozen chips- freshly made would be so much better- the thick frozen ones are dry and powdery. The crème pat in the dessert was not cooked out fully- it was pasty/floury which is a shame and some whipped cream with the milles feuilles would have been a welcome addition. The staff were efficient and friendly and the views amazing.

There were thirteen ladies celebrating a friend's 70th birthday and we couldn't have chosen a more suitable venue. We booked the last sitting at 4pm for Afternoon Tea and because we arrived early we were able to sit on the patio and enjoy socialising. There was no pressure put upon us to hurry and when we finally sat down at 4.30pm and served with tea, sandwiches, scones and delicious cakes, we were not disappointed as it was beautifully presented and absolutely scrumptious. The staff were extremely pleasant and courteous making the whole experience first class.

We went there for afternoon tea, for my birthday. We booked for 4.00 pm. It was a very enjoyable visit. We were given a very warm welcome and offered a choice of tables, we chose one by the doors onto the patio, as it was a warm day. Service was prompt, but not pushy. Each stage of the afternoon tea was explained and we were left to enjoy the event. There were very small sandwiches on the lower tier of the cake stand, and as I have an allergy to fish, as requested, they did not include the usual fish sandwich, On the middle layer there was a slice of Banana Bread, warm welsh cake and a scone with jam and cream. On the top layer there was a very small piece of cheesecake, a very small macaron, a really .lovely rectangular lemon meringue pie and a piece of peanut butter and chocolate cake. The Lemon Meringue was by far the best on the plate, I found the peanut butter and chocolate cake very sweet,. We were able to sit and chat for as long as we liked and we not made to feel that we needed to rush away, to allow them to set up the table for the evening service
