Cannot fault our visit at all. Afternoon Tea with Prosecco, excellent. Service second to none. Highly recommend.

Very poor bar service - too busy at the bar so ordered drinks at the table and was charged 12.5% service charge

We came for an afternoon tea for my best friends birthday treat. We were met by very friendly staff and shown to our reserved table. The tea was served along with the prosecco first and we were surprised at how many cups we managed to get out of the pot as we were expecting less. Shortly the afternoon tea was served and I was pleased to see they had ensured our special request was met. The sandwiches were fresh and tasty. The scones well I must admit were the best I had ever eaten. Definitely enjoyed those and we were brought more clotted cream when asked for although we did have to wait 5 mins or so to find a member of staff as they were off doing other things. The mini cakes were lovely too however we both felt that it would of been alot better and easier to eat if there wasn't so many sponge cakes but to have a variety ie a pastry option, a macaroon option along with one of the sponge cakes and then the delicious cheesecake which we very much enjoyed. We loved our special treat but i was surprised to see they hadn't told us at the time of booking a service charge would be added so bumped up the cost by another £7 almost.

My friend and I had an afternoon tea on Tuesday 15th august. We thought it was lovely but on paying the bill I noticed they had added £5.75 service charge,as this was for my friends birthday I didn't want to cause a fuss but think that a 25percent charge is a bit over the top and would certainly think twice about going again.

We went for afternoon tea, had a lovely selection of cakes & scones. I had requested an amendment to the sandwich selection which was no problem. Our waitress was very nice, friendly, helpful and efficient.

this was the second visit but definitely the last, the service was poor, our table was 3pm with a codicil that we had to vacate by 4.15, at 3.20 we received 3 cold coffees and a pot of lukewarm tea, our waiter was new and Italian and spoke little English and brought us a hot chocolate in response to a request for a jug of water(that was quite funny) the food was good but at 3.55 we had to ask for our glasses of champagne. The atmosphere for our table was difficult, trying to make light of the situation and not make a fuss while quietly fuming at the extremely poor service. Would you not think that in a Hilton Bar, everything would be set up before the first customers arrive at 3pm ? very very disappointing, we let them know how disappointed we were but we didn't make too much fuss because the occasion was supposed to be a present......so awkward !!!
