LEGGERO Soho is the only Italian entirely gluten-free restaurant in the UK accredited by Coeliac UK. Vegan and vegetarian-friendly, LEGGERO offers fresh, homemade pasta and classic Italian flavours

The flavour-rich LEGGERO menu is led by homemade pasta and ravioli. The menu begins with a selection of small plates, including duck breast with red berries sauce, stuffed calamari or the pork on Portobello mushroom with beetroot cream.

Main dishes include handmade sorghum and hemp basil tagliatelle served with almond flakes, pesto and tomatoes, and ravioli stuffed with gorgonzola cheese and beetroot, whilst tiramisu and almond and orange cake are amongst the rich desserts. From the bar, sample a range of classic and signature cocktails, as well as a lengthy Italian wine list.

Also stall holders at popular Mercato Metropolitano in south London, find LEGGERO on Old Compton Street, a short walk from Leicester Square and Piccadilly Circus Tube stations.

A great tasting, very friendly, relaxed gluten free restaurant where you don’t have to quiz staff to make sure it really is totally gluten free. Totally booked out on midweek lunchtime which says it all. Booking essential.

Was great food and reallly lovely staff. Need a few more though, as they were really over worked!

It was very easy to make a reservation for two. The restaurant is small and very cosy. The waiters were all very friendly and the food was delicious. We had the bruschetta, the ink black pasta and the chestnutpasta. Loved it. I was sad when my plate was empty. The portion size was perfect. Afterwards we were full. For desert we had the cheesecake (delicious) and the tiramisu (I've had better tiramisu, but I was already quite full at that point, which may have influenced my opinion).
I loved that everything was glutenfree and that I could choose anything on the menu, without fear of cross-contamination.
The only thing that I think could be improved; the accoustics in the restaurant. It was a bit hard to have a conversation because of the noisiness of the room.

The food was great but the very small portions and overpriced. It used to be so much better when they served polenta

This restaurant used to be brilliant and my gluten eating friends loved it too. Sad to say the menu has changed and the quality of the food has fallen. Not sure if I’ll go back unless I was craving an arancini

The vegeterian pastas and the startes are mouthwatering. The cocktails refreshing but could do removed plastic straws

It was a good dinner with fullmenu of gluten free options for my wife. Super!!

Hit and miss. The butternut squash flan, as noted in other reviews, was delicious as was the chestnut pappardelle. The beetroot hummus on the other hand was distinctly uninspiring. Portion sizes are small for the price but the central location may have something to do with that. Great for gluten free, vegetarian and vegan, as well as open minded omnivores. My only gripe would be the lack of any beers that weren't gluten free - there really is a big difference in taste.
