Relaxing, nicely decorated restaurant with friendly, professional staff and very quick service. The pre-theatre menu was excellent value. Food was very tasty, especially the strawberry tart for dessert. If you eat from the a la carte menu, you can choose any of the delicious pastries or cakes from the cafe for dessert.

Very lovely restaurant at the back of the Paul bakery. Wouldn't have known it was there so pleasantly surprised. Very friendly service and a good choice of food. Perfect position for a pre-theatre dinner.

Service was very poor from time of arrival and waiting nearly ten minutes to be shown a table, then another 15 before anyone took our order

Prompt service for pre-theatre dining

Food was great, waiting staff not so! Had to ask the staff if I could order a drink and they were not busy so that’s not an excuse. Would have been nice to see a smile.

This was a very poor experience I’m afraid. Having enjoyed Paul patisserie products in the past, I had (wrongly) assumed the restaurant would be decent, if not fantastic. The food quality was substandard and bad value. My steak was over cooked and largely tasteless but had an unpleasant after-taste which I can only liken to rotten meat. The shepherd’s pie was 90% potato with a ridiculously small amount of lamb filling. Onion soup was bearable but quite obviously not made on the premises. Crumble had a stale taste to it and the pastry in our strawberry tart was so tough that even a knife struggled to cut it. The only item I enjoyed was the meringue, which was the cheapest item we bought! Service was pleasant but slow. We will not return and I am unlikely to buy Paul products in the future.
