An icon of London’s culinary arena, Le Gavroche is a 2 Michelin-starred restaurant specialising in classic French fine dining. The restaurant was opened in 1967 by the legendary Roux brothers and is now under the guidance of Chef Patron Michel Roux Jr.
Known as “the last bastion in London of classically French haute cuisine”, the Le Gavroche menu consists of thoughtfully prepared dishes using carefully sourced produce, and wines from the restaurant’s renowned cellar. Signature dishes include the legendary Soufflé Suissesse, which has been on the menu since 1969. Guests can choose from the À La Carte or the Menu Exceptionnel tasting menu, featuring Le Gavroche classics and contemporary French cuisine.
The Chef’s Library is an intimate space with a table seating 6 people, decorated with a variety of cookbooks collected by Michel Roux Jr. The Chef’s Library has a direct video link to the kitchen, and offers a daily changing 6-course menu presented to you by your chef.
Le Gavroche remains one of the capital’s most sought-after restaurants. Located in Mayfair, the restaurant is a short stroll from Hyde Park and a 7-minute walk from Marble Arch Underground Station.

The staff were all very helpful and attentive. I enjoyed all my dishes, but the Turbot was incredible. My son loved the steak and souffle dishes.

we all 3 enjoyed the meal as much as ever and it was so good to see Michel as always chatting at each table. The pity is I rarely have much notice of when I am coming to London therefore it was a real treat to get the booking for dinner. The star of the show for so many people who I bring is the cheese souffle ....... Hope to be back soon. Mary Hargreaves.

Fabulous experience at Le Gavroche! The restaurant is welcoming and has a good atmosphere. We chose the Tasting Menu 9 courses with suggested wines to accompany & it was all exceptional flavours & delightful presentation . The French staff were extremely polite & respectful but also had humour & gave us all the info about the food & wine that we wanted. It was a special landmark birthday celebration & they even put a candle in the dessert for my sister. You have to consider the cost for this top-end Michelin restaurant before booking but it was superlative & worth the extra mile! A delightful evening!!
