An icon of London’s culinary arena, Le Gavroche is a 2 Michelin-starred restaurant specialising in classic French fine dining. The restaurant was opened in 1967 by the legendary Roux brothers and is now under the guidance of Chef Patron Michel Roux Jr.
Known as “the last bastion in London of classically French haute cuisine”, the Le Gavroche menu consists of thoughtfully prepared dishes using carefully sourced produce, and wines from the restaurant’s renowned cellar. Signature dishes include the legendary Soufflé Suissesse, which has been on the menu since 1969. Guests can choose from the À La Carte or the Menu Exceptionnel tasting menu, featuring Le Gavroche classics and contemporary French cuisine.
The Chef’s Library is an intimate space with a table seating 6 people, decorated with a variety of cookbooks collected by Michel Roux Jr. The Chef’s Library has a direct video link to the kitchen, and offers a daily changing 6-course menu presented to you by your chef.
Le Gavroche remains one of the capital’s most sought-after restaurants. Located in Mayfair, the restaurant is a short stroll from Hyde Park and a 7-minute walk from Marble Arch Underground Station.

Have been before for lunch, and it is what a restaurant should be, welcoming, cosy, attentive but not fussy staff, and I think great value for money (lunch anyway). Cannot recommend highly enough, and Mr Roux had a word with all the tables.

My daughters 16 th Party of 5 What an incredible experience from the moment we entered the door . The maitre’d was fun and not the stuffed shirt I was expecting . The staff were friendly and welcoming ....and the food was amazing - there are no words. Our only disappointment was that Michel Roux wasn’t there purely because it was my daughters big day and she’s adores him .

Just perfect in every way! Great restaurant and staff with fantastic food. Lucky us Michel Roux Junior was in the kitchen that night, and came out to speak with each table.....you couldn’t ask for more.

Beautiful dining room, exquisite food, a most enjoyable lunch. My only comment is there are too many staff visible all the time so there is lots of movement.
