Bringing innovative Chinese cuisine to Knightsbridge, Le Chinois Restaurant and Bar is found at the characterful Millennium Hotel on Sloane Street. With afternoon dim sum, tasty sharing options and exotic cocktails, the simply styled, lantern-lit Le Chinois boasts an eclectic Cantonese menu designed by master chef Chan Kwok.

Among appetising starters, the Le Chinois menu offers sautéed wasabi-coated prawns and pan-fried chicken dumplings. Glazed enoki mushrooms, capital spare ribs and aromatic crispy duck are full of Oriental flavour.

The big seafood choice at Le Chinois Restaurant sees honey and soy marinated sea bass and pan-fried salmon with wild mushrooms and oyster sauce. There’s meaty venison with ginger and spring onion and homemade chicken curry, plus an array of vegetarian, rice and noodle dishes.

Sweet banana fritters and red bean pancakes with ice cream are just 2 of the tempting Le Chinois desserts. Inspired by Millennium's award-winning Singapore restaurant Hua Ting, Le Chinois Restaurant and Bar in London is a 3-minute walk from Knightsbridge Tube Station.

The staff were not welcoming at all, they took long to find our booking, took extremely long to come to our table and take our order. The food was poor more like a takeaway than fine dining. The staff were so rude they didnt even say bye or thank you when we were leaving.

    Very poor service.

Food was average and expensive - the worst combination. Restaurant was too hot.

Afternoon tea was delicious. Wasn’t a fan of the mochi balls - filling was extremely dry.

Centrally located at the Millennium Hotel in Sloane Street, Le Chinois offers a good selection of attentively prepared Chinese dishes in an atmosphere that is friendly and not too formal. Service quality should though improve and be more attentive to the customers need and requirements.

The food was good but not outstanding for the price we paid- £60 a head. The cod was delicious. What was lacking was any atmosphere for Christmas Day apart from a cracker on the table. The head waitress was so cold and scted like she was doing us a favour allowing us to dine there. Not a smile to be seen. Would have been nice to have had a few extra festive touches- Buck's Fizz? Fortune Cookies? Not sure but the atmosphere was flat. We wouldn't go back there. Sorry.

Booking online was good fast etc. The place was very simple. Could be a bit more interesting. This menu consisted of only 3 choice for starter 3 for main and 3 for desert. Staff were attentive and quite quick also very well mannered. But the food was like from freezer ready made and no wow at all. My icecream so small and melted. Only chicken rice as main was kind of tasty. Nothing was to report home! And the place so hot we were baking. My birthday wasnt anything to them either.
